  1. my 2 cents worth here, i just did a piece of the beatles on abbey road, it was 18 inches long 6 inches wide, and i have a 16 in craftsman, when i was cutting the ends if i went one way the back of the scroll would stop it, so i turned it the other way shimmering a bit, thought i was gonna have to tturn the blade backwards, but i made it work, one of my next projects is gonnabe approx 18 x 18, thinking spiral blade for it, we will see
  2. kevin, hey thanks man, i am trying my best, this is what i get for being on disablilty, got hours on hours to do stuff, thanks goodness i got chairs in each of my work areas, a ruptured disc isnt fun when i do have to stand im like holy yahooo, let me sit, lolol, i just sanded it with a sanding wheel on a rotary machine, i thing i didnt mention in the first post, is this is going to my brother, his bday is next month. thanks again
  3. Got this pattern from a scroll saw magazine i bought, had a few pattrns in it, i think this is called inla, still learning all these terms. hope ya like, wood is 1/4 inch sandeply, mixed red, green and brown to get the color on the piece.
  4. kevin and lawson, thanks for the complimnets, the pattern made all the cuts kid of small so i enlarge it the total size is like 18 inches long 6-7 inches wide, used a freeware called posteriza. thanks again

  9. Kevin, hey man thanks, i use gimp to make the patterns, thing is bout my truck it had a burnt valve, the car lot sold me a lemon, but i like the truck, so i only have like 500 or so left, hopin next month ill have it back... ttyl
  10. hey all, got 3 newests here, 1. cowboys at dusk, wood is sandeply 1/2 inch this will be gifted to my uncle, who loves western stuff. 2. portrait of friends kids at younger age, Commisioned, wood is red oak 3. Portrait of our mechanics dad at a younger age that had passed in 06, usually our mechanic dont let people pay monthly, bi monthly payments, but since we are good customers, he is letting us, my truck needed to b fixed, cost around 1,300, so this one is really a thank you for working with us. hope yall like

Travis, DJ and Kevin, thanks for the replies, im looking for scroll saw mags, but also anything to do with carving, im trying to teach myself on how to carve 3 dimensional pieces... i got a few books from library, one is by Chris Pye, dam he does some awesome work. got a few I wanna try, that i need to print out today. Hoping soon i can get to home depot and find some good mags, instead of just going in and buying wood
  13. I did this one for my daughter, she loves the movies. Photo came from a calender. Wood - sandeply 1/2 inch, with green felt for back ground color. bout 10 in x 10 in in size.

Kevin, Yeah, i use a free photo resizer, that makes the pics smaller, since im on dial up..hoping thatll be ended today, finally gettin my birthday gift today.. going to an att center and get me a wireless card.. ( well im crossing my fingers) Its basically a shaded out cowboy. I got a bigger pic me finks on my site on the photos page. thanks

Kevin, thank you, yeah about 3 years ago we started helping out charities, mainly doing a haunted house doing can food drives, first 2 yrs we helped the SaLvation Army, and the North Bartow Community church Shop... (food banks) beginning of this year i was looking online for local charities and the battered womens shelter caught my eye. I emailed the director, told her what we do, and what we wanted to do for them. as of now im not getting alot of orders, but when i do a % goes to them. I am trying to teach myself 3 dimensional carving, but its being a PITA. sorry for ramblin, thanks again
  17. this is a pic of Myself and Maddox of our local radio station, i did a scroll saw portrait for them, on the piece is maddox (when she had longer hair) and her partner ross, I even got to be on the radio, it was pretty cool, free plugs is always great.   18. We held a drawing when we were at the Hospitality House thrift store sale event July 9th and 10th, and the man in the photo and his wife won, they saw a bigger relief i already did, they just wanted a smaller version of it.

  21. Thank you Paul, appreciate the compliment, yeah i used to stain all my work, but it got to be just too much work, so i started torching it then polyurethane, saves 1-2 days of drying time for stain, thanks again

  24. unicorn pattern created by Mama Bogie (if thats spelled wrong sorry) it was a great pattern, fun cut, got a bit scared quite a few times, on the thin areas, but it came out well, I named the Unicorn Mystify Portrait, I held a drawing on the 3rd, and this is the winners husband and grandson both on 1/2 inch sandeply
