  6. This is what i did for my brother's brother in law, his birthday is in a couple weeks, the frame is from arpop it i changed the lettering to I'd rather be playing pool Red felt on backer, I;m pretty proud of myself with this one.
  7. Hey Paul My 2 cents is what others have told me, 1 is use masking tape or painters tape, to cover the wood first then spray the adhesive then pattern when done cutting just undo the tape and the pattern will come up with it. 2 is get some mineral spirits, bout 6 bucks at walmart not sure of the size bottle, but when u spray adhesive to wood, then pattern, cut, soak the left over pattern with mineral spirits, let stand 3-5 minutes, then rub off. Best spray adhesive to use is 3m, ( my opinion). i do the tape first then pattern, for the more detailed pieces, and use carbon paper (i bought from ebay) for the less detailed, just trace around pattern, and voila its on wood. Hope i helped some, i am still a newbie, but passing along advice i got Jim

  12. Granpa and Nitay, Thanks for the reply, Sad thing is this was my 2nd protrait ive started, first one was a pattern made by frieke of my father in law, I really do appreciate the advice and will follow the advice, need to print these off tg today is payday, buy ink. Gonna take another crack at it again in a day or 2, i think what messed me up yesterday is i used packaging tape to cover the wood and then spray adhesive to glue pattern on, thinking of just using carbon paper, may take longer, but when i glue it, pieces of the paper would come undone, and flap around like a fish when getting close to being finished on that one area. today is another day and its gonna be a good one, Thanks again Jim
  13. Hi all, i have been trying to do a portrait of my step daughter, when i got to the small areas like nostil lines, etc i keep messing up, ive tried a stright blade and a spiral, then i got to the mouth and the piece broke. I am about to give up on doing portraits and just do misc cuts. i see these patterns i have dled and i see some really thin lines, how do yall do them, even my smallest blade wich is about the size just big enuf for the blade to go into. and it still drills outside the line. Am i just being inpatient or doing something wrong? Help please Jim

  23. Having trouble with uploading photos? are you on dial up and getting an error message?well i found a program that is free to use, which will reduce the size of a photo to kbs my camera (kodak easyshare) puts out photos of over 1mbs, using the program which all you have to do is go to where you have the photo you want to upload and right click on it, go down til you see the photo hover over it and click reduce. another window will appear, click photo (qualite moyenne) then clcik ok. after a few seconds the reduced photo will appear. The download site is http://www.brothersoft.com/photoredukto-download-86387.html Thank you to Travis for going to the trouble of why i couldn't upload pics on this forum, he suggested i reduce the size of photos, so i went to googlin.
