  1. Brett to the rescue with a free Eiffel tower pattern If you follow this link it will download a DXF file of an Eiffel Tower pattern http://www.blechwelt.com/teil_des_monats/dxf/0410-Eifelturm-3mm.DXF You will need a DXF viewer which you can get for free from: http://www.edrawingsviewer.com/pages/products/eDrawingsViewerpage.html It may not be as good as the Eiffel Tower pattern from Wildwood or Fine Woodworks .. but it is Free Also if you browse through the following site, you will find a lot of Dinosaur and Insect 3D puzzles that you can download and print with the viewer program too. Might help if you know how to read German, but you can just work it out from the picture what it is http://www.blechwelt.com/teil_des_monats/archiv.htm
  2. Wow Glenn you are a machine, you got those cut, finished and framed so fast They look fantastic and im sure your mum is going to love them. Thank you so much for cutting my pattern and I like how you adapted it to fit in a frame. Its not often I see the finished results of one of my patterns being cut, so I really appreciate you showing it
  3. Good luck with the Intarsia project .. cant wait to see what you make Perhaps a WIP showing your learning along the way .. will act as an inspiration to people like me who keep procrastinating over doing an Intarsia piece
  4. I need to order some more blades soon, might have to see if my supplier has these FD-Ultra blades so I can see what they are like.
  5. Wish you all the best Glenn, I need to get myself organised and get myself out there so people know about me and hopefully the same will happen for me. Im getting a few orders for my keyrings, but I need to show them other things that I can do too
  6. Great work on the latest cuttings Glenn and glad the new saw is going so well for you. But can you please slow down on your cuttings a bit please, you are making the rest of us look bad
  7. I would assume it would be the same as any oil or other finish and that the gluing should be done before applying the oil
  8. Nice work on that Edward
  9. Not a very cheap timber .. in Australia anyway, not sure about the rest of the world
  10. You could always try the Grotesques Chandelier http://www.finescrollsaw.com/grotesques-chandelier.htm
  11. Not at the moment they are mostly in Queensland, im in New South Wales which is the state below it. A week or more parts of my state were affected, mostly to the north and west of me. Im in Sydney and have two rivers not far from me, the floods in Queensland are even worse now and over the next few weeks are expected to work their way south .. hopefully it doesnt head this way. It truelly is devastating to see it happening. My thoughts and prayers go out for all those affected and those that are likely to be affected in the next few weeks.
  12. Great work, the box looks great. I must remember to look for that polymer clay the next time im near Spotlight. Did the timber get affected at all when you had to 'cook' the clay?
  13. Very very nice, that ebony looks great

  15. Great work on that Glenn im sure your mum would have loved it, really like how you have cut the tribute into the frame.
  16. Hi Karen and welcome to the Village Sorry to hear about the arthritis and eyesight issues, I hope you can work ok with scrollsawing and allow you to keep going with your creativity. Im amazed that your doctor knew what scrollsawing was, most people just give me a blank stare when I tell them I scroll saw after they ask me what sort of woodworking I do. What model of scrollsaw do you have? As for creating your own patterns using GIMP, The wonderful Travis has compiled some great lessons for GIMP in the Village University, you can find there here: viewforum.php?f=24
  17. Dont worry about that Glenn, our parents will always be there for us no matter what age we are .. as we will be for our own kids. Congrats on the new saw and I hope business keeps going well for you.
