Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday. John Wayne

Price all depends on the area and what people are willing to spend. I have sold a few of mine for $10 each, one lady who had ordered three from me liked them so much and was very pleased with them gave me $50 instead of the agreed $30, she did not listen to my protest that we agreed on $30 so I had to take it. The area that I live in has a high percentage of people with higher incomes and are happy to part with their money for something that looks good or is unique. Anyway as for the shapes, I suggested tulip and rose as they are kind of long in shape and may be suitable. How about a handbag or shoes? hrmmm maybe I need to think of these designs for myself too haha
  8. Hope it doesnt come to that .. means more work for you and the moderators then Dont know why they feel the need to put their rubbish on our Forums if people wanted to see that sort of thing im sure they know where to find it!!

    Hello

Hello and welcome to the Village Murray
  10. Did some more for myself and SWMBO, these ones are Mallee burl with a few coats of danish oil .. she wanted a backer on her one.
  11. Mahogany is an open pored wood, so it can be hard to get that smooth finish. My preference to finishing is using Danish oil and this article refers to using oil but it might help with your spray poly finish queries too.. http://www.masterartisan.com/article/Ed ... Oil+Finish
  12. Lovely work on the bowl
  13. Lovely work on the box, im sure it will be greatly received by your daughter-in-law

Nice work on the keychains Dan, great selection of timbers there. As for shapes for mum's .. perhaps flowers? roses, tulips
  15. I started on the same saw, except mine was blue and had a GMC badge on it. My one was a single speed saw and only took pinned blades. With help I later fitted Hegner blade clamps to it to allow me to use pinless blades and I eventually had to use an aquarium pump to replace the split bellows. It was a good saw for its price and helped me see that I enjoyed the hobby and that it was worthwhile me updating to a better saw ... of course it could always have the other effect and frustrate you and not make you want to scroll anymore .. lucky for me that didnt happen
  16. If you do a search on Google a Facebook page comes up for a Christina Ellenburg, not sure if thats the same person you are after though.
