  1. Here is my little hole in the wall. it aint much but it is enough for me to do what I have to do. My shop is a 10 by 12 storage building that I converted into my shop. Note the insulation that I put in , it helps in the winter and summer. I installed a little window unit air conditioner and I also have a little 20 dollar blower heater that I purchased at Walmart I keep beside my scrollsaw and it works great . I do most of my cutting with miter saw outside of the shop due to shop size. The cut table is something I came up with around 10 yrs. ago when I was doing alot of trim work in houses. I like it because I have extensions I can put on both ends and cut long wood by myself and it is portable I set it up on foldable sawhorses. Another good thing about it is you can nail stop blocks down when cutting alot of lumber the same size this is one thing I dont like about those portable stands for miter saws. Anyway here is some pictures of my little piece of woodwork heaven.
  2. Thanks everybody I am a very proud Dad and he did awesome even when he lost !
  3. Thanks for comments guys and yes he is looking forward to the next race. He finished in the top 4 so he gets to race in the district derby races against all of the other local packs top 4 cars , so he is very excited.
  4. My son Dale had his Pinewood Derby races today and he did awesome , I am very proud of him. He came in 4th out of 55 cars. He won all 8 of his elimination races. He made it to the race off and there were only 5 cars that were undefeated. he won 2 and lost 2 in the race off , so he ended up 4th. He won a total of 10 races and lost 2 . I just wanted to share his accomplishment with everyone here on my SSV family. I got some advice from a couple here on SSV and I want to thank them. Here is some pictures from the race , Thanks Dale and Glenn .

  13. Very nice work Chris and i have tried cutting sitting down ,but I just can't do it . I dont really use spiral blades very much I do most of my cutting with 2/0 blades , so I find it impossible to to cut sitting and try spinning my wood round and round. Do you use spiral blades ? Again very nice work and thanks for sharing Eagledrum70
