  1. Hi Berry I like your shop. Seems like you have all the tools needed and it looks clean and organized to your liking. There's a couple tools I envy.
  2. Hi Lee Beautiful bowls and well finished. Can you give a brief description how they done? Thank you.
  3. Hi Stu Beautiful bird house ornaments. Nice idea for the tree. Glad you had help having them painted. Well done.
  4. Hi Larry Sounds like overall you enjoyed doing the show, meeting other people and above all making new friends. Rewards is making a few sales and acquiring additional orders along with acquiring a new member. I think you did just fine. I'll have to check what a lucet cord maker is.
  5. Hi Jim You must feel proud what you have done for a great cause. Very well done and a good wood chose. You and your club deserve a lot of credit for what you do for the children. Fantastic.
  6. Hi Micheal. Fantastic. I really like the bridge scene you've added as a tribute Blanca is crossing over up to Heaven. I do pet memorials out of granite for families and this reminds me of a sample I have on display in my show room. Very well done.
  7. For got to mention I am only seven hours away. I live in Prince Albert, Sask.
  8. You have definitely come to the right place Kevin. As a fairly new member myself I have gotten to know a few fantastic people, learned a few things and acquired a lot of ideas. Heck the coffee & tea here is free and sometimes a member will have pastry available, and even share a joke or two. What other site will offer you so much for free. Anyways, a very warm welcome. Enjoy.
  9. Very well done Gator and excellent job cutting. Like yourself I have always had a soft spot for collies. I had Don and Roly produce a pattern of the collie I have and will post when done.
  10. That's great. I've had mine for over 14 years. Myself I'll have it rebuilt if need be. Sure worth the investment and a pleasure to work with.
  11. Like your shop Clayton. My shop is small as well, but as you said it works. You seem to have it well organized and set up to your working style and of course all the tools a craftsman needs.
  12. Like your shop Roly. A lot more room than I have. Only messy to your eyes. Looks like you have all the tools needed. How do you like the Excalibur?
  13. For the short period of time of being a member on SSV I have enjoyed viewing all the wonderful talent just by clicking a few buttons and the best part it's available in one place. But even better is that you are able to communicate with many fabulous people that have the same interest as yourself by sharing each other's projects and asking questions when they arise, have coffee at no charge, share a few laughs and maybe acquire a few ideas to help you start a brand new day. I am proud to support the people who are responsible of making SSV what it is. Thank you.
  14. Good day Matt Very nice work and I like your design. Very striking.
  15. Good morning Sparkey I prefer using only hardwoods, especially the exotic. Where I live there is only one supplier that carries what I like and I don't mind paying the price being I am very particular in regards to the end result. I also have purchased or acquired wood that has been aged for many years such as poplar, cedar, mountain ash, maple and etc. usually at a decent price. I'll also watch when old buildings are being torn down, and check flea markets, salvage places and such. As long as what I purchase, beg for or be given and I know the end result will turn out to my liking then the whole process of completing the project is enjoyable and rewarding.
  16. Good morning Toninho I am glad Ray was able to solve your problem. Ray is highly respected for his knowledge and service. How are you liking the Excalibur?

  18. Thank you all for the kind comments. Have a beautiful day.
  19. Hi Gator Labour of love. How true. Fantastic. Very, very well done.
  20. Sample done awhile ago
  21. Hi Jim Beautiful gift and a nice size band saw. You are very fortunate to have a wife such as yours. She deserves an evening out on the town. Happy for you. I know you will put it to good use. Now, start her up and make some dust.
  22. Hi Antonio My best suggestion is to contact Ray at Seyco.com and explain the issue you are having. He is the scroll saw specialist for Excalibur. Ray is usually good at replying back very quick. In the meantime I would leave your saw idle until he can give you a solution to the problem. The new Excalibur scroll saws are now gear driven and I am not familiar with them as I am with the belt driven one I have. Don't worry, I am sure it is an easy fix. Let me know how you make out. Thank you.
  23. Hi Dan I like both pieces, especially the shelf. Looks like the cross is of oak. What type of wood did you use for the shelf. Very well done.
  24. Hi Luis Nice workshop. I envy the space you have and the tools for doing larger projects. I do refinishing of older furniture at times so the space you have to work in would be much easier than waiting for the summer months to do it outside. You have a nice setup and I like that pile of sawdust you just made. Thank you for sharing.
  25. Thanks Clayton. You really do deserve a lot of credit as Travis has mentioned. Much appreciated. Keep up the good work.
