  1. Helloooo, Dan nice to see you again. I think you will enjoy yourself here. Loads of fun, loads of patterns, loads of interesting posts. Some sensible, some not so. WELCOME to the family Dan. Rob Roy.
  2. Careful what you wish for Roly. If we have an epidemic of SCROLLING the Government will take over and eradicate it. Then what do we do!!!. Underground SCROLLERS . Rob Roy.
  3. That's good Roly, next year I'll get a SCROLL Jab instead of a FLU JAB. I would now be suffering from SCROLITIS instead of whatever I've got ITIS. . Rob Roy.
  4. A very nice job Mark. Sorry to hear of your loss of a fine young man.. Keep at it and post the pictures. Rob Roy.
  5. Well Dick the "wee" pictures were worth waiting for. Beautiful work and no doubt many hours of concentration. Well done, and hopefully we'll see some more. Take care. Rob Roy.
  6. A man after my own heart Ralph, or is there a tiny bit of Scottish blood there . Rob Roy.
  7. How about a wee picture Dick. . Rob Roy.
  8. I never uttered the word CHEAP ONCE. Are you insinuating I'm a cheapskate, Eh, no, I'm just very FRUGAL . Oh!!! but I know the quality is the best. Rob Roy.
  9. Good morning Roly, If I were to order one of your name plates I would have two choices. My Sunday name is Robert but everyone knows me by ROY. Now, at £2 a letter and being a Scot, I think you'll know which direction I'm going in . Rob Roy
  10. Very, very nice Ralph, you should have no problems selling those. I like the the way you've "toasted" them and it should make them more noticeable. Wife says I could do with one on the wall so I can remember my name. . Good luck with the show. Rob Roy.
  11. Hi Cindy, just Googled Muskoka and spent an hour or so looking at some beautiful scenery. What a beautiful place you live in, even in the snow, Hope its not too deep and you're keeping warm. Take care. Rob Roy.
  12. Good to hear you did well at the fair Danny. 600 bucks is better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. Well done Sir. Rob Roy.
  13. Hello Cindi, and a big WELCOME to the family. I'm Roy from Scotland. Seems like you've been having bad luck with scroll saws, but great to see it hasn't put you off scrolling. You will have fun here, but we can be serious,(not very often), but it does happen. There's more free patterns here than you can shake a stick at, so take advantage of them. If you have a specific pattern you need just ask, and one or more of our magical pattern makers will come up with the goods. Any problems, just ask,as long as you realise one question will get you goodness knows how many answers . It's good to see more LADIES joining us to keep us guys in order, at least that's what Marg and the rest of our ladies would say !!!! Well now Cindy, I see from your profile that you are a dog groomer, and I'm wondering if we send Amazing Kevin up to your salon you could maybe give him a bit of a tidy up, it might take you a wee while, but I think it would be worth the effort . There are a few folk here you will have to keep an eye on, but I'll let you find out who they are in due course. Larry mentioned breakfast. Don't worry about what to make, us lot here will eat anything within reason, especially The Phantom, Kevin and Larry. Here endeth this SSV introduction. So come on in Cindy, sit yourself down and ENJOY. Don't sit on the black leather chair Larry will get upset.!!!!!. Rob Roy.
  14. Very, very nice DW, I like version 3 too. The "sales" technique is excellent. Having 2 Grandsons, I've been caught out a few times myself, but it's all good fun. Keep making them DW. Thanks for sharing with us. Rob Roy.
  15. Super job Ralph, and I like the burning effect, quite unusual. A bit of brain work too getting your problem fixed. The only problem I see, is being a Scotsman, it's TOO SMALL . Great job. Rob Roy.
  16. Hi Rob, a lovely piece of work well executed. I think it looks good the way it is with the skewers as bars. I think possibly metal bars would look out of place. Very nice. Just my humble opinion of course. Thanks for sharing with us Rob. Rob Roy.
  17. A very nice HEFFELUMP Carl, (sorry I've been playing with my Grandson) . I wish I could get my hands on some of that lovely Cherry you have as a backer. Cherry is about as abundant as rocking horse poo here and quite expensive when you do find some. Anyway Carl, a very nice piece and thanks for sharing it with us. A man of many talents shall we say. I hope you and the "boss" are keeping well and the weather is not too cold. Hope you managed to keep the leaves out of the fish pond too. Take care. Rob Roy.
  18. Careful Tony, mind you don't wet the new MAN PANTS with EXCITEMENT . Take all the advice you're getting here and above all ENJOY the new toy. Oh!! and give your wife a big hug too. . Rob Roy.
  19. Another beautiful piece of artistry Hans. I think I'll have a go with these spiral blades, if the wife allows. I'm on Warfarin tablets and she's petrified I cut myself. Fortunately she doesn't know I've been using the BAND SAW . Reading some of the news articles Hans, you could be losing some of your Eastern Bloc contacts, which would be a shame. Anyway Hans another superb piece Hans. Thanks for sharing with us. Rob Roy.
  20. Hello Larry. Could you have a dirty commutator on the motor (where the brushes run). I've had that problem a couple of times. Worked fine after a clean. Hope you get it working. Rob Roy.
  21. A beautiful job Paul, fantastic cutting. You certainly seem to have mastered the SPIRALS. Excellent. Let's have some more. . Rob Roy.
  22. Glad you got the saw fixed Kevin. That means we'll see some more Amazing Artistry. Keep them coming, (while the saw's still going). .Your new exhibits above are superb. Rob Roy.
  23. A very nice piece of accurate cutting Jim. Keep up the good work. Rob Roy.
  24. Another beautiful piece Hans. Did you cut this masterpiece with spirals??? . Rob Roy.
  25. Another BARGAIN Ike. Good one. Rob Roy.
