    I use a clear spray lacquer seems to just darken them slightly and seals them. Roly

    I do both with and without and buy most of my frames for a store out in the Forest of Dean Gloucestershire for a couple of £3-5 each depending on the look and if they don't fit after taking out the glass I make my own and now I have loads of sheets of 8 x 12 glass sheets in the workshop. oops.     I always fine what ever you use over the pond we can't use here different voltage different pins but I have what is known as a ON/OFF switch on my machine I fine that adequate for years. brillianttttttttttttttttttt.

    Dick. Sometimes I get issues I use a spray lacquer let it dry 1 hour after sanding then BRUSH a clear vanish on and see the results the lacquer acts as the sealant. Roly
