  1. I remember how amazed I was when I cut the name rectangles the first time..I love that you did these because they seem to have almost been forgotten for a long time. Thanks for posting them. You did a great job on them Dick heppnerguy
  2. a couple of swell pieces, Kevin.. you make me feel as if I am lazy, but the truth is I am spending more time with my wife and a little less time in the shop and on line.. Keep up your good work but remember to consider your health first. Dick heppnerguy
  3. Very nicely done. I also did a couple of inlays and then never went back to trying them again. Your nicely done cross is inspiring me to give it another try soon. They are fun to do, Not sure why I have shied away from doing more.. Thanks for posting your cross. I could feel the excitement in your voice and you were describing doing the work. Dick heppnerguy
  4. fun pieces.. It looks like you have not slowed down while I was away.. So, how are you feeling now, Kevin Dick heppnerguy
  5. I saw a few of these being cut before Christmas and they never really appealed to me, but after viewing the great variety in your work, I have changed my mind about then and just might give them a go Dick heppnerguy
  6. Nice piece. Color makes things pop for sure. I am going to see about checking into the pattern also Dick heppnerguy
  7. I do not believe I could even figure out where the next piece would go.. I love the results, just not sure I could figure the assembly out. I have to admire your persistence Dick heppnerguy
  8. That is exactly what I am hoping for also...Why throw HOPE in the garbage with any prove it is inferior? Dick neppnerguy
  9. We will all learn as time goes, if Steve Good is right about this. I am in hopes that the EX16k will be as good as the EX has been until it jumped off the market. I am going to hold my breath and wait and see what happens here. I like that it is a possibility and I am not going to go against the grain, myself until I hear some reports. I also think it would be a little far fetched to see Seyco selling it, after having put their own brand on the market. Although Seyco is known for their great service does not mean there can be others with the same commitment just waiting for the right timing to come along.. By the same token, jumping to conclusions before it is on the market is perhaps like those that said Apple is dead because of Microsoft taking over the computer market a few years back while watching Apple struggle to hold onto their share of the market. 10. Welcome Keith from Southern Arizona where next Saturday it is supposed to be 82 degrees. If you fi ne that a question comes to mind when you start scrolling something, be sure and post the question and you will get a few answers in a very short time. This is an extremely likable crowd here that has talent, knowledge and an interest in helping others. So don't go away too soon and you will find it difficult to understand how all of a sudden you have a host of new friends that you have never met personally but you feel you have known all your life Dick heppnerguy
  11. I just came off Steve Good's site and saw where he posted that the EX 21 is coming back on the market once more and that it is available from Home Depoe now. If you wish to check this out. Steve Goods site is www.scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.com Dick heppnerguy
  12. I know I have not been around for awhile. been working on Christmas things and then we had 3 weeks of company and then I started on a rather large order,(for me) and I should be able to get back on line regularily in between my next two projects. I have been making other things too but I did not post any of my work here. Hope to be around steady again soon. I miss everyone here Dick heppnerguy
  13. No Kevin that was not me who got the antique wood plane... I did get one other scroll saw steal about 3 years ago when I got a HAWK at a estate sale for $65 Dick heppnerguy

  15. Sorry to be such a pain in the rear to everyone but I am getting ready to stain a BB PLy backer for my Lord's prayer plaque and I do not want to screw it up. I remember seeing that BB Birch will often become blotchy when stained but that there is something that one can pre-coat the surface with that will prevent it from becoming blotchy. Can someone please tell me the Item I need to purchase so that the stain will take evenly??????? Dick heppnerguy
  16. I I did get it and it was like just out of the box. It is perfect unused condition. It is the 16 inch model and I could not be any happier had I purchased from a store. It runs like a sewing machine. I was extremely happy to pay his asking price of $200. I hope to post a photo of it my tomorrow, should any one be interested in seeing it Dick heppnerguy
  17. Nice to have you join up with all of us. We love to welcome new members. Know that if you have any questions you can ask and get the answer to it quickly. Have fun here when you are not scrolling and get to know a few of us on a rather personal basis. From Southern and warn Arizona Dick heppnerguy
  18. Gregory, Glad you found that saw and decided to give it try. I think you will find it rather difficult to make furniture once you have some hours on that saw of yours. I hope you have a warm place to spend with your saw as many here are letting it go for awhile because it is just too cold to be in their shops. I am lucky enough to live in Southern Arizona and have my shop in a two car garage and usually scroll with the garage door open and enjoy the sun. Take time to look all through The Village as there is a lot to discover here. Dick heppnerguy
  19. A big Welcome from Southern Arizona. You are an amazing man, Dan. I can not imagine going away from the opportunity to scroll, especially for all that time.. you have a lot of scrolling ahead of you if you are going to try and catch up on all the time you missed. Glad you are with us now Dick heppnerguy

  22. Welcome Ed to the Village. Be sure and take the time to look through all the free pattern in the pattern library. You should find more than you will probably get around to cutting. Remember to let the blade to the cutting and it is not a race but rather a relaxation when you scroll. Hope to see you around often.. Ever have a question be sure and ask it.. you will get an answer or more then likely several of them. From warm and toasty Arizona. Dick heppnerguy
  23. I jumped on Craigslist to check for any Excalibur saws on there. Today I scored. I found one that was posted just minutes before I looked and what to my wondering eyes should appear but an EX that was only used 10 minutes, and I am going after it in about 10 minutes. How lucky is that? Now I will have 2 of them. No one sells the ones they have, I just struck it rich Dick heppnerguy
  24. Thank you Kevin got it already appreciate your efforts Dick heppnerguy
