  5. Great to have you as a new neighbor in the Village. Nice work you have shown.
  6. You certainly did a beautiful job of this. Great cutting and the matting/framing looks very professional. A+
  7. Now that I see that site... that is where I bought mine... I didn't thank that other site looked quite right...
  8. Okay, pardon me, if I butt in but you so not need real expensive equipment..... Check out https://www.minisapyrography.com/ I have one of her disc... and this is what she recommends/uses: https://www.walnuthollow.com/store/wood-burning/tools/items/creative-versa-tool-/38283/ Coarse,,,, I found out talent was not included....! I do not have one of these tools, I have one my wife bought for me years ago.... it was an expensive piece of gear... and it also did not include talent.
  9. I just wanted to add, I purchased their pliers for that the size of line I purchased... To me the pliers are way over priced, but I knew I was going to do quite a bit of assembling and experimenting when I put mine together and I thought it would make it easier. It did, and I am not sorry I purchased them. They are pretty flimsy, and again, to me, over priced,, but they work and do make things somewhat easier...
  10. @kmmcrafts I purchased my Loc-Line directly from Loc-line: http://www.loc-line.com/products/34-loc-line-system/ at the time I was able to get the cheapest that way, but you can get it through Amazon and other places... Nice set up Jim. I think you will be very happy with it.
  11. I like what you have made. Pretty cut. Yep, it has started,,,,, I heard Christmas music last evening....I love Christmas on Dec. 25th,,,,,
  12. I have a circle sanding jig for my sanders. It adjust to different diameter circles. I cut the circle on a band or scroll saw then take it to the disc sander to clean it up. But Norris is cutting odd shapes so his method can handle that.
  13. Only you can tell what works best for you....
  14. My stool rolls, so I put a piece of carpet under it. Now it roll but only when I want it to... Not sure what to say about @grampa's stool, except I think he is bragging or dreaming,,,and he might want a little padding on it....
  15. Another beautiful cutting on another beautiful piece of wood!
  16. Welcome to the Village. Good to have you join us...
  17. Welcome to the village. Glad you are joining us. I look forward to getting to know you.
  18. Okay, Dick.... I will catch up to your talents someday. That is some of the finest cutting I have seen.... Great job, sir. Great framing also. I have so many projects lined up now I will not know where to begin... Getting really anxious to get back to the shop.
  19. I was just about to ask is you bought the movement from Scroller. Looks like the same one recommended for my pattern. Another thing that has delayed me, the cost of the movement. I will have to check out Clockparts.com. A question, can you build one of these clocks without having the movement? Get the movement later, and install it or are parts of it built into the clock as you assemble it?
  20. Another beauty.. So good to see you back at the saw putting out your beautiful work...
  21. Glad to meet you. Welcome to the village and nice to have a castle close by. I looked at images of it, very beautiful. I am a very happy Hegner owner.. They are not for everyone, but I sure love mine. Takes a little time to get use to and learn the proper tension (something you just seem to get a feel for with practice.
  22. Oh, what a beautiful clock. I really love it. You inspire me to drag out the pattern I have for one. If I remember correctly, mine has some deer on it..
  23. Really well done.
  24. Super nice scrolling job.
  25. You know how I feel, if the seller won't even dust it off to try to sell it, I lose interest. I see it often, covered with dust, no attempt to clean it up a bit...I know, picky, picky..... The variable speed foot control.... I don't know about that. I guess if it had cruise control to go with it......
