  1. Randy not only does your finished products amaze me, but also how fast you are able to cut them. I would still be working in the first "A"! That is very beautiful.
  2. Very well done!
  3. Turned out nice and you didn't just cut off the lettering, you took "artistic liberty" with the design. Yep, letters are much harder than one would think. I didn't do any until I was about 2 years into scrolling. I was surprised how quickly they humbled me.
  4. That is really nice. Great piece of wood also.
  5. I agree with Scott. That would drive me crazy---er.
  6. That is really nice, Dan. I like the pendulum with the clock. I also really like how you did the base. I thought I had come up with something new with the glass ball but then on Pinterest other day I saw three versions of it done by a guy. One had the clock like the plans call for. One had the dragon holding a ball like I did (his was even amber like mine) and one was holding an amber ball and a clock was inserted in the first curl of the tail. He was there before me... I really need to finish mine.

  11. I like it. I like Montana, least the parts I have been to.
  12. It is described in the manual. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN IT!
  13. Started in 2015, completed today. I started this got it cut out, did lots of sanding and them put it in a cardboard box and set it on the "Unfinished" shelf. Last week Heppnerguy and his wife came to visit. He brought me a box of nice veneers. Some were Mahogany, just perfect for lining the "Five Dragon Box". Last weekend I glued the box together, today I lined it with the veneer (thanks so much Dick). The box is approximately 17"L x 6"W x 7"T. The pattern came from "finescrollsaw.com" a place of beautiful patterns and great friendly service.
  14. Another beautiful picture Kris. Yours are always something I look forward to seeing.
  15. 2-3 hour drive! That is jut a nice road trip.

  18. Denny, you always produce a cut above. Very nice houses.
  19. Really nice work, Steve. Looks so good. And you are very brave, competing with Dave..... I know better.
  20. I love your dream catchers. Very well done. Thank you for sharing.
  21. You really did a nice job on that. Great craftsmanship and great thinking.
  22. Never thought of that. Good idea, it needs maintenance like any bearing I guess. Also remember, what goes up, can come down. I say this because I had a couple time where I raised mine started to move my piece of wood and the arm came down. It never hurt anything other than give me a scare, but I have been afraid it might happen and break a fragile piece of fret work. So I had a block of wood with a handle on it, left over from my days with a DeWalt saw and I always just slipped it under the arm just to be safe when working on fragile items.
  23. Yep either Sapele or Mahogany. They are very similar. There are several species of Mahogany. But they all look pretty much the same. Semper Fi
  24. Very nice work, and glad you are back.
  25. Those reading this be sure and look at the date of the original post. This is an oldie! Here is digging up the past. But there were people here that said the couldn't wait to see the finish and I am sure you are still sitting there at their computers waiting!! Just wanted to post a progress report. I have it all glued together now! I did it this weekend. Never say die... right? What got me going again was Heppnerguy and his wife came to visit last week and Dick brought me a box of veneer he had. It contains some dark veneers that I think would look nice lining this box. So I dug the box out finished sanding it and glued it. All I have to do is line the inside and then finish it. I may get this project done in my life time....!
