  1. And I thought "Bob Marley and the elephants" was the name of a singing group! Nice work.
  2. You certainly did a great job with the box. Only improvement I can suggest is trade that Coors for MGD,,, much better.
  3. This is no help to the original post, but for those of us that do not have access to a club, this is our club here a SSV and what a good one it is.

    Horses

Good job. Horses are great, but they eat too much....
  5. Somehow the wood turners seem to have successful clubs. We have one in our area and it has been around for a long time. It has quite a few members and they stay active. They meet at different turners houses, they do not take their lathes so I'm not sure how they keep interest up. They do have some guest turners once in a while and they have to pay to get them there. I know the members pay to go to the meeting when they are at a meeting.
  6. Mine is level with and about 2 feet away from my saw. When I am in the workshop scrolling I leave it on the whole time I am in the shop. Does not hurt anything and does continue to remove dust even when not scrolling.
  7. That should be a popular one.
  8. I've often thought about how it would be fun to belong to a club. But first I would have to find some scrollers. I know of none in my area. Other than meeting a sharing, I think it would be fun to come up with ideas of projects to donate to activities like toys for kids in hospitals, or for needy children.
  9. Very well done!
  10. Now that is a very clever idea. The possibilities for Christmas ornaments. Great job.
  11. Beautiful cross. Great job.
  12. Great portrait, and boy, brings back memories. I use to love that show and me and my brothers use to try to outdraw old Paladin at the beginning of the show.
  13. Beautiful piece of work. I love that wood, don't think I have seen it in for sale at websites. Amazing how it changes color so much when you put 50/50 BLO on. I love the color.
  14. You certainly did a great job on that piece. I also would like to know where the pattern came from. I do know that doing something like this can be a challenge. Not only is there intricate scroll work involved, but you have pieces that have to fit together. Sometimes that can be more of a challenge than the scroll work.
  15. Great craftsmanship. I bet that is used by the next generation also.
  16. The work of a "pro". The attention to small and important details always makes you pieces a cut above. I would not have thought of insetting the circle piece with the initial, but it adds so much class to the overall piece. Great job.
  17. Really look well done Frank.
  18. Very nice cutting.
  19. "John", "Old Dust", man of very few words but a lot of nice cutting. This a very nice cutting.
  20. Now that is what I call "cut and run"! Well anyway, very nice cut and all of them and I really hope you enjoy your run, er trip.
  21. WOW! nice work. That piece on the left has some beautiful curl to it.
  22. And you ended up with two beautifully well done pictures!
  23. You did an awesome job on that. I like that pattern the most of any I have see of him.
  24. I have all my old one, but not turntable. I doubt if mine would even play anymore. Been sitting in boxes for over 35 years!
