There is no such thing as scrap lol either save for more use or burn
-
Poplar is a bit too soft in my opinion I’d go with either maple or birch as that is what most butcher block is made from hard enough for tops

Supplies and a find
-
It is plywood scrapile 12 plys too
-
I think it was just a special find I’d love it if theyd stock it though
-
Found a good find at the closest menards to me it’s not Baltic birch but Russian birch about 1/2” thick 20”x20” for $2 plus some other shop supplies. I was after 1/4” but for silhouette ornaments for the kids to paint and give out to the family it’ll work for me
-
I use one standing up. My years of TIG welding paid off in learning to do it lol
-
Just make one outta wood pretty simple just a few dados a little glue and good to go custom storage areas could even make em the right size for totes of any size. I've used those in a camper and they are pretty flimsy
-
Sounds like maybe some stresses inside the wood might be a factor but who knows
-
Aww man iggy after reading the title I had the best advice then I read your post and "staying inside the lines" just didn't seem to fit anymore
-
If it were at a brew pub here I wouldn't have had any earnings and a probably would have trouble standing at the end of the three hours lol
