  1. Great job.
  2. Problem is, too pretty to sit under a pot, needs to hang on a wall!
  3. Great cutting.
  4. Please accept my apologies for my part in it. It is a good rule and I agree 100%.
  5. Very nice. I cut some feathers once to see how they would look on a picture I did. They got voted down, but I still have them because I liked them. Some day I will do a dream catcher to put them on.
  6. You are a brave man!
  7. Now that is the cat's meow!! Great job.
  8. Makes me want to turn around and spend another couple weeks at the beach!.. Great job.
  9. Thanks so much, Randy for sharing your talent and experiences with us. I am really enjoying it. Each one just keeps getting better.

    Hi

Welcome to the little village. Very glad to have you.
  11. Welcome, Kip.
  12. That is a real nice one.
  13. Another great piece, Dick. The other way around for me. My daughter use to work a "second job" other than her main job. She worked for a guy that sold items to hobby shops to resale, like the scrolled plywood flags that you can buy and then paint or decorate. LIttle stars, all kinds of little plywood things you see a hobby stores to buy and decorate. She was a great scroller and always talked about it. Got my interest so I got a scroll saw. Then I got sidetracked for several years before I go around to working with it. Now I scroll and she doesn't. Hope your daughter joins us here.
  14. Now that is some great work. She will be a happy person.
  15. Nice work Dick. He will enjoy it.
  16. Welcome to the forum. So glad you joined us, and I am very anxious to see your work. The thing that intimidates me most about intarsia is gathering all the different species of wood needed. It is expensive....
  17. That is great and well deserved.
  18. Yes, thanks Rolf.
  19. I can see why you want the smaller bits, but the cutting is outstanding. Would smaller bits even cut through metal? I break them in wood.
  20. Kip, from my pen turning days when I wanted "ivory" I purchased what is called "Alternative Ivory" You can get it in different size blocks and in rounds. The down side is you don't have the nice dark bark look that the nut has, but something you might want to check out.
  21. Wouldn't it be nice if Hegner would move into the 21st century and come up with an easy blade change method like an Excalibur? They could (for the price of one) use steel clamps instead of the aluminum that the Ex has. Best of both worlds... Hegner is a great workhorse saw but it has been the same design since inception and need to modernize.
  22. Very nice!
  23. I did a search on "astronomy chair plans" and came up wit several plans for making one. Didn't look difficult at all.
  24. Great and congratulations! I like the football although I don't see one for the next and repeat Superbowl champs.... The Seattle Seahawks!!!!
  25. You will love it I am sure. Good for you.
