Welcome to the forum. I have a Skye friend in New Jersey. He is a wood worker, builds all kinds of things. He has a CNC router and has made me real nice set of gears I used on my street organ to run the crank for the bellows.

I have two actually. First I bought the one from Harbor Freight. It is florescent, the one Steve Scrolling has. It is a good one for the price. I ended up removing the cover that was suspose to cover the magnifier lense when not in use. It kept getting in my way. I started experiencing headaches after using it a while. I decided it was the florescent light. They flicker all the time even though the human eye does not detect it. I have read that some people are sensitive to the flicker. So I bought a new one with LED light. It was over twice the cost but I like it much better. It has a glass lense also that will not as easily scratch. The LED light is brighter than the florscent also. No more, well not as many headaches. Not sure they had anything to do with the light, but I do like the LED somewhat better. When you shop, be aware of the magnification also. The Harbor Freight one was 1.5X or 1.75x magnification. The LED one is around 2.5x magnification. It is almost too much for me. Took me a while to get use to. I like it now, but I would not go more that it is. The LED one I ordered online from Columbia Indrustries. I have purchased other item from them, they have a hugh selection of all different kinds of thing. Great service. P.S. Welcome to the forum. Very glad you are here.

Oh, ya! You did a beautiful job on that. One of the finest cutting I have seen. Love the frame also. I wish I had some imagenation when it come to making frames. Really nice all the way around. Congratulations!

Great job, Dick. Be careful, many more cuts of this type and you will find the spiral will become your go to blade. At least for the more detail portrait work.

Is it one that should not be cut? I mean, if it was posted many may have downloaded it before the owner mentioned it. Do we need to know to delete it from out personal libraries of downloaded patterns?

There is some great scrolling. I'd like to know where the "tiger swallowtail" pattern came from. Searched all over the internet, but no joy yet.

Nice looking lamp. There are lots of Youtube videos on how to cut a glass bottle with string and fire. It works, my Grandson and I did it once just to see if it did.

This is how I do it. I did get a batch that I had a porblem with, the end kept bending when I tightened the bottom clamp. I thought it was me and guess it could have been, but I had not had that porblem before nor after that one batch of blades.
