  1. Love seeing all the Halloween projects. Haven't had any this year myself but those wands I bet are huge sellers and I love the Ash from Evil Dead.
  2. It's from a "pattern" A friend has the original on their wall. I took a picture and cut it out.
  3. Very nice!!!
  4. Quick cut of a cross and dove from reclaimed cherry cabinetry. #7 Olson reverse tooth. 14 inches tall. just under 3/4 inch thick.
  5. Cut this for a friend. It ended up having to be repaired due to there being a void just below the veneer. Thankfully they wanted it painted so I was able to hide the seams. just to the left side of the body in the the middle of the upper wing. "Sanding and paint make me the scroller that I ain't"
  6. Done that myself a time or two. Lost my favorite coffee mug that way. Stuff happens. Don't be too hard on yourself. It did look great.
  7. My son's school has "houses" that compete against each other for points throughout the week. His house if the Odwaga Bulls. He asked if he drew a bull could I cut it out. I said sure, thinking he was going to come back with a Chicago bulls logo. Instead he drew up the Lamborghini bull. Well the boy has got style I'd say and a definite knack for reproducing what he sees. He's quite good at free handing pictures of characters. 1/2 in birch ply. #5 Olson reverse tooth. Base apple red with metallic gold on top
  8. Every so often a friend sends me patterns that he likes and wants me to try. I believe it is an H. Botas pattern as there was a small amount of name visible in the corner of the pattern. This was one that I've been holding for a bit now as some of the lines were so thin I wasn't sure enough of my skill to cut it. But I finally did and I think it turned out fantastic! 1/2 inch birch ply cut with an Olson #5 reverse tooth. 18 inches wide.
  9. Finally cut this one. Pattern by @neptun 18 inches tall, 1/2 inch birch plywood.
  10. My Delta 40-694 20 inch has started making a banging/rattling noise. It is not constant and the intensity varies as well. Even on the same speed. I've had it apart half a dozen times looking for the issue but so far nothing! No worn spots, broken off pieces, etc. It doesn't seem to affect the cutting or accuracy but sometimes it honestly sounds like there's a bag of marbles bouncing around in there. Anyone have anything similar with theirs? I've seen a few threads with other brands but curious if anyone has problems with a Delta specifically.
  11. The "A" in Acres is right at a half inch tall
  12. Sorry Frank I always forget that stuff. It's residential, to go over her daughter's bedroom door. 20 inches wide 8 high. 1/2 in birch ply for the whole thing. Red mahogany stain on the background. Font for the letters is "Script MT Bold" from Word. As for the look pretties I just searched for a vine pattern and found one on a free site. All cut with #7 reverse tooth Olsen blade
  13. Customer said "I want this name so it fits over a doorway." No other directive, no suggested ideas of what she wanted just "Make it look nice. I know you will." I think I got it!
  14. A customer requested this. She is from the area but now lives here. Being from around there yourself how do you think it looks?
  15. Some very thin cutting on this lettering. I would describe what and where this is but I think the picture speaks for itself LOL Half inch BB plywood. Worn Navy, Worn Gray and Provincial are the stain colors. Lettering cut with a #2 reverse tooth.
  16. Thank you Marg! I only do names that I have orders for or am planning to give as gifts. Most of my customers find me through Facebook. Courtys Scrollworks. (feel free to add me and swipe any designs you like)
  17. Thank you Frank! I used a #5 Olson reverse tooth on these. The height and length will vary depending on the length of the name and which letters. The font is called soulmate with the bold option on. I've found that using size 48 font also makes for a little fatter line to follow than the 72 font. Usually I will use "Paint" in windows, type in the name, crop and then print. I find using it as a Jpeg instead of a word document gives me a better feel for how big it will be when it prints out. For example, a short name like "Ted" would be printed using the 3.5X5 setting, while something longer like "Rebecca" would fit better in the 5X7 or even 8X10. That being said the only letter I've found do far that I do not care for in this font is the capital N so I swap it out for another font. (Can't remember which right now. )
  18. Every year I do a few name ornaments from 1/4 inch birch ply for 5 bucks. I stack cut them just to make sure of no breakage so customers get two for one. This year they blew up! I've done over 50 different names so far this year. Can't even fit them all in the picture!
  19. Dominic Pace is an actor who plays "The GeKKo on the star wars show The Mandalorian. He is here for an autograph session at a local business. Here is the original image the pattern was made from
  20. Just wanted to let you know I posted the cuts I did for the pattern you made. It's in Bragging rights

    1. Birchbark

      Birchbark

      Thanks!  I'll have a look

  21. I want to thank everyone who tried a pattern for this one for me. Russell I went with yours and it was a huge hit. He loved it!! I cut two, one for an autograph and one for Mr Pace to keep. He was very surprised. There's video of him signing it on my facebook page if anyone wants to see that. Courtys Scrollworks But long story short I can't say thank you enough to the amazing pattern makers in this group! You've come through for me on more than one occasion and always have top notch designs! Thank you again!
  22. Hey Russell, and for anyone else interested. The dimensions on the table are 21 inches long 11 inches wide (at the table top) 11 inches high. The sides to make the "tray" are an inch and a half. On this one the seats are seven inches wide but I did a second one where they're only around 5 wide and I moved the legs out to the very edge of the table top. This made it a lot more stable. The legs are cut on a 20 degree angle.
  23. I just kinda winged it on this. Let me check and I'll get back with you. I believe it's about 16 inches long.
  24. Ever since I saw the Meme about these I knew I needed to build one. (neighbors have chickens) Found a "new" pallet at my work that had only been used to bring in a large piece of equipment so was clean and fresh. And Voila! Chick-nic table!
  25. Saw one of these somewhere and thought "Hey I can make that." Love how it turned out.
