  1. Of course, happy to provide more info. The backboard is all blue. Foul lines, three point line "the lane" lines, and signatures are all cut through the top board. The white letters are individually cut out, painted and glued back on to the backboard. The stained area is cut out completely, stained, then glued back in. All in 1/2 in birch ply. total size is 3 feet wide by just under two foot high. That was the worst part, figuring out how to cut the surround off in one piece as it was too big to do on the scroll saw. Ended up laying it on the table saw and raising the blade into it, running almost to the corners then finished it off with the scroll saw. Once that was off the rest went pretty easy. If I'd thought about it my jigsaw would have been perfect. Kind of a "Well Duh" moment on that one.
  2. Nice work. Love the interlocked rings
  3. Local college asked me to recreate their basketball court for a tribute to the man who it's named after.
  4. Looks great! I know how it goes with the silver paint! Always looks drab in photos.
  5. Thanks for the info Paul. I would say they don't have to be legible if that helps make it any easier.
  6. Anyone have any luck with this?
  7. I asked for better shots of the car but he doesn't have any of that particular one. He sent a couple of others though from different years. Would these work better? HE would prefer the car that is predominately blue. It has a watermark in the middle but says he has permission to use the photo. Didn't know if it will be a problem for the pattern or if could just work around or fuzz it out a bit. If not then the the grey one on the grass would be ok. Thanks Mahendra!!! You rock as always!!
  8. A local racer is looking to get a pattern done of his car. Anyone want to try and tackle this please?
  9. Just plain ole' half inch birch ply.
  10. Thank you Worbler! I know that feeling. I get some of my best stuff done when I'm at work.
  11. No worries. I felt it was nearly impossible but thought I'd throw it out there. I appreciate all the efforts you guys have made!!

  16. Morning all! I had a friend ask if I could do anything with this. I told her I wasn't sure, but I'd see if the masters here wanted to give it a go. I have no idea where to even start on something like this. If anyone has any ideas or would want to give it a go I'd appreciate it! Thank you in advance!
  17. This would be an awesome cut! if someone does it I may have to swipe a copy too!
  18. That jealous place that drags me away from the saw (i.e. work) brought the manager of the St Louis Cardinals to campus. They asked me to do a piece for him to sign and then auction off for a benefit. I made these two,. One to auction and one for him to keep. He loved it. The only fee I asked was to let me get a picture with him.
  19. Friends of mine are Harley riders and their initials start with H and D. Figured this would be good for them.

  22. I come again with yet another race car pattern request if anyone is feeling adventurous to give it a go. I greatly appreciate all the efforts of the master pattern makers!
  23. Here's one I did that started out as a wood burning by a friend. I turned it into a pattern and ran. It's about 16 inches tall. One of my favorite cuts. I'm going to find him and see if he'll sign it!
