  1. Kevin, I had a 788 and had no problem with the table once I figured out how to center the blade in the hole and how to adjust the blade to be perpendicular to the table. Once I got it adjusted, I made sure the little ball was in the detent on the table trunnion and then adjusted the pointer to be on zero. After having that many 788's you should know how to do all that. It just takes time and figuring out what does what.
  2. You have the right idea Kevin. Did you tilt your saw table at all? It takes some playing around to get the right angle but once you find it the pieces will fit flush.
  3. Very nice work. Very diversified.
  4. Les, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PASS! That is an order. I'm not done with you yet. And let me express condolences also on the loss of your friend. I just had the same thing happen a little over a month ago.
  5. I just did a screen capture of the description that Cherokee has on the page for 12" x 12" squares that I am thinking of ordering. I'm not sure about the description on the page for full sheets. I'll check it out when I'm done with this post. Ok, see below for the sheet info. Keep in mind that the price includes shipping. That, in itself, can be quite a savings.
  6. John, you do some FINE work.
  7. Lookin' good.
  8. Great work Kevin.
  9. Check Cherokee Wood Products. They offer many options. They will cut sheets to suit and shipping is included in their price. Check their site and then call and talk to Chris. Very nice young man who is running their online department. They will work with scrollers. Cherokeewoodproducts.com
  10. Wow! You all are truly wood artists. I hesitate to post anymore of my stuff. Fantastic work folks.
  11. Great cutting and I would never have thought about wooden plates. Thanks!
  12. Well, all I can say is "ENVIOUS"!
  13. Great stuff Kevin.
  14. Very nice. I'm like Paul. I have no idea what that is but you did a great job.
  15. Sorry Ralph. I hope you heal quickly. A good time to catch up on your reading. Keep us updated on your status.
  16. I posted a couple of my first projects on the General section before I realized that this was the right place. Now, I try to check here on a regular basis to see what others are doing.
  17. I'm curious. I just went to the Seyco website and I can't find anything for "used" saws or anything else. Where do they list used stuff?
  18. Stop me if I'm wrong but with a 5 year warranty, you shouldn't need a receipt because I don't think that saw has been around for 5 years. It's just not that old.
  19. I'm not sure what you have done up to this point but saws with that type of mechanism will sometimes stop in a position of what I call "high center". Try sticking a flat blade screwdriver in the end of the motor. It should slide into a slot in the end of the motor shaft. Turn the motor a couple of rotations. Do this with the saw unplugged of course. Then plug it in and try again. It could also be worn brushes. Remove and inspect them. Blow out the holes where they go. As mentioned above check the fuse. Good luck and keep us updated on what you find.
  20. Thanks everybody. You all make me feel good. I love SCROLL SAW VILLAGE!
  21. Very nice. It makes me wish I was Scottish.
  22. Very nice work.
  23. It was issue number 59. Summer of 2015.
  24. Very nice Paul. We can't let any wood go to waste. I can't believe what has happened to the price of wood.
