  1. Looks great Dick. There will always be at least some differences of opinion! You made it-YOU get to choose the way you want it! I do like opinions expressed though, I will sometimes change or modify my project when one hits me as better.

    Giddy -Up!

Made from "rescued" wood totally. Some red wood, and some unknowns. The handle was from the firewood pile. About 14" wide 30" long and 28" tall. seat height is 13" from the footrest. All cut on 21" King scrollsaw. I do not know the blade #--It was an Olsen 11tpi though. Pieces were double cut when possible- head and body filler were singles. Legs were cut as pairs. All assembly is glued and screwed. The cross pieces trusses, I have added for years now. Pattern is standard old rocking horse pattern; origin is an unknown. I have modified it many times in the 30+ years I have made rocking horses too. I left this one unpainted, so the customer can do it their way! Yes, I did take it for a trial --(trail?) ride. It tried to buck me off, but, my perseverance tamed it.
  3. WOW-Great patterns and cutting too.
  4. Great work. I do like your work, but, not this theme! Might be my YOUTH showing!
  5. Very nicely cut. I do agree with Frank-- backer- background, frame, or edged to make it look framed without being so. A bright orange backer sticking past a bit on all edges will also make it POP out! An orange fringe painted on, something on that order. I hope you stack cut, so you can experiment on one. I do want to see it; if you make any changes. I do use a blend of ideas from everyone else-- them modified my way--I usually like what it turns out like then.
  6. Inspiring work!
  7. A very unique presentation, exceptionally crafted too.

  9. That should be our NATIONAL MOTTO! Very nicely done.
