Buffalo, Leopard, Jesus and Apostles
Kris Martinson replied to Kris Martinson's topic in Bragging Rights
No stack cutting. It's difficult enough for me to handle one piece of 11 x 14 -
A few new projects. The animal pics are going to be donated to The Farmer's House, a local non-profit which helps prepare mentally challenged individuals for integration into the community.

I just finished my first two-part wood-art piece. Each part is 11 x 14 inches. I made this for a California friend. This is Dillon's Beach in northern California.

Valentine's Day Scroll Saw Challenge
Kris Martinson replied to Travis's topic in General Scroll Sawing
I stepped way out of the box for a Valentine's project requested by my church to honor all the members for contributions they made throughout last year. So I made these signs painted onto 3' x 2' canvases.- 18 replies

Beautiful tribute to your life of artistry.

Jerry, thanks for your interest. I used 1/8 Baltic Birch Ply. The blades used were mostly Pegas #1 and #3 spirals. I did not stack-cut it. It is wise that you have tried some practice cuts. I would recommend that you continue doing so until you feel comfortable using the spirals. Once you get used to them, it is wonderful to cut detailed, curved cuts with spirals.

I'm still getting used to the Seyco. Large table is a bit uncomfortable for me to work on. The blade clamps are very difficult to use on my spiral blades, so that is a big negative for me. Mine didn't come with a magnetic table cover.

I'm using "blanks" that I buy at Hobby Lobby for $1.25 per page of 6. They are about 3.5 inches diameter and 1/8" thick.
