  1. Kevin, I like that one. Great job cutting that.
  2. Thanks again everyone for all the compliments. I'm glad I cut two at a time. Now I have an extra one if I ever need it.
  3. Thanks Melanie and Paul. Travis did a great job on switching us over to a new server. hats off to him.
  4. Hi everyone, I was finally able to get back on. Had a little trouble for a few days. I just finished this portrait for my niece who's having a baby in a few months so I thought I would get a head start on it. This is an 8 x 10 and the pattern is by Grampa from our pattern library. It's 1/4 inch B/B and I was able to stack cut it so I have two of them. Never know when you might need another one. The lettering was a little tricky and you had to go slow. I used a #3 reverse blade with no trouble. Hope she likes it.
  5. Dan, it's really not as hard as it looks. Just follow the pattern just like any other pattern. Don't think of it as a portrait. I know you can do it. Practice on a sample pattern.
  6. Wow, all great remarks. Paul, you did a great job for the first one. I keep saying I'm going to try doing these puzzles sooner or later. I guess it will be sooner. I love Iggi's puzzles. What a great job he does on all of them. I guess it's time to go visit Iggy's site.
  7. Thanks everyone for the compliments. Wasn't to bad cutting. TD made it easy for me. Thanks again TD and Richard for all your hard work.
  8. Wow, that is great. Looks like a lot of work to put that together.
  9. Hi everyone, This is a portrait i just finished for a friend I work with at school. Richard and TDpainter did a couple of patterns for me which both came out great. She ended up picking the one by TD. I'm waiting for her to bring me the frame she wants so I can cut it to size. It's going to be an 8x10. Hope she likes it.
  10. Denny, that came out great. That's a lot of cutting there.
  11. Sorry to hear that Marg, Hard to tell what's really wrong with it with out seeing it. I'm sure it can be fixed. I just ordered one last night from Harbor freight for $40.00. Had a lot of good reviews, As Bob said, give us the name and we can Google it. Don't give up yet.
  12. Thanks Travis and Paul. I did it.
  13. Well I took Christians advice and bought the one from Harbor Freight for $39.99 plus I had a 20 % coupon and it came to $31.98. Not bad. It had a lot of great reviews. Thanks everyone.
  14. Christian, I'll have to check that one out. Looks pretty good. Thanks for the info.
  15. George, that's a nice setup. The price is right.
  16. Rusty, how do you get your name in there.
  17. Well not to sound dumb or anything but how do you get your name in there. I've been looking but can't seem to find how to do it. I would love to add my name.
  18. Hi everyone, Here's some of the key chains that are done. Have about 15 more to do. There all cut out already. I used walnut on the back and B/B on the front. All scrap I had laying around. Just have to put the colored clay in the letters, sand them down and dip them in lacquer. My kindergarten kids should be happy.
  19. That came out great. How did I miss that pattern on Steves site. I'd like to make that one. Have to see if I can find it. I have his catalog.
  20. Wow David. That is some nice burning and scrolling. I also love the matting on some of those frames. I might have to try that.
  21. Kevin, what you need to do is show them the pattern and what it's going to look like and write out a contract and let them sign it. Also get half down. If they complain or don't like it, show them the pattern that they agreed on and that's that. If they don't want it, keep the deposit and send them on there way.
  22. Thanks everyone, I'll look into a couple of these. I like the led's. Charley, I like the idea of a light on each side.
  23. Don, do you put any type of finish on them or leave them plain.
  24. Hi everyone. Does anyone of a good light I* can use on my Ex Cal 21. I have one now but not to happy with it. The ac adapter broke and I have to use batteries in it and it's not that bright. Any suggestions. Thanks, Ralph.
  25. Paul, the bookmarks sound like a good idea to. That might be my next project. What size wood did you use. As far as the key chains, they will probably hook them up to there back packs.
