Paul, I was able to cut another small circle out of scrap wood which I painted the color i needed and filled in the cutout hole to raise the the eagles up to match the height of the rope. I don't know if you do that already.
I don’t know Dick, it looks pretty good. The hardest part for me is the eyes and mouth. Thatst what I do first in case I mess them up, I can start over.
Hi everyone. Just finished doing these today. Just waiting for some acrylic spray to come in to finish up the Marine one. I want to give Paul (scrappile) a big thank you for all his help and tips on how to do these. I would of never been able to tackle these without his help. There no where as good as his but they will do for now. Going to my son in-law and grandson.
Nice Ron. The more I see of those the more I want to do one. I have about 8 pieces of live oak walnut but mine don't have that dark streak going through the middle. There all white like your edges.
I love that. You did a great job on that. I like your idea of giving them to people. I might try and do a couple. Did you stack cut any of them. Would be pretty easy to do three at a time.
Thanks Melanie, the one I made was round. I think I can do something with one of those. I remember my thumb screw was glued into the wood knob and was permanent. I think the Pegas knob is a little different.
