  1. You all have some great ideas.
  2. Thanks Brenda, I figured that might be the size.
  3. Thanks Brenda, I printed it out. What size wood are you using.
  4. That looks much better Brenda. Are there any patterns around to make this. I would love to give it a try.
  5. That came out great Don.
  6. That looks great.
  7. That looks great. Love the frame to.
  8. Paul, you did a beautiful job on that piece. Cutting out letters is a real pain. I don't know about you but I don't think I would even attempt doing that oath.
  9. I know crown molding could be tricky. I know you have to cut it the way it goes up on the wall or the miter won't be right. I'll have to think about this one.
  10. I like that Berry. I'll have to check out that link. That molding looks like it might give me a problem.
  11. I love those boxes Melanie. You did a great job on those. I mi ght have to try that.
  12. Your right Paul, I think two sets of horses makes it better. I used a lot of scrap pieces to. I didn't use full sheets like Steve said. I cut all the pattern pieces out and lined them up on all my scrap I had.Almost all the patterns called for two or more pieces so that's why I got two garaffs to. You really want to use the activator with the ca glue to. Makes the glue up go really fast. The only thing is it bonds almost instantly so be careful.
  13. Not a bad idea Berry. Any ideas on how to do that.
  14. Well I decided to give Steve Goods circus pattern a try. All made out of 1/8 B/B ply. 90 % of this was made from scrap ply that I had left over from a lot of my portraits and other stuff. I did add a couple more horses to kinda of balance it out. It is pretty long, maybe almost 4 feet. Not sure where I will put it. Already have a few offers for it but I have no idea what I would have to charge and I'm not sure if I want to make another one. Took about four days on and off. The glue and activator he recommended really helped with this project.
  15. Beautiful box Dave. I love all your boxes.
  16. Les, that came out great.
  17. Alex, that is so amazing. I think I would have trouble putting the pieces together. You make it look so easy.
  18. They do look much better,
  19. Ivan, just Google Air Plants. Amazon has them. The plants are small.
  20. Now I see how you did it. I was trying to cut the folded pattern on both sides like I normally do. I didn't realize you need 4 pieces of wood to for one pattern. Thanks again Ivan. That really spells it out good now.
  21. Thanks Ivan, I'll give it a try.
  22. Brenda, two things come to mind right off the bat. Pine which is not a good wood to use on compound cuts and the blade you used. A #3 reverse is not good to use either. A # 7 or even a #9 skip tooth would work better. You could also be pushing the wood in to the blade to fast. Let the blade do the cutting. You can't rush compound cutting. Slow down the saw a little to. Hope that helps.
  23. Ivan, I haven't figured it out yet. Seems like a lot of work.
  24. Another great job Alex.
