  1. I'm in Arizona and we get Anna's hummingbirds year round. They nest in the neighbors tree and visit my courtyard all day.
  2. Love the frames. I have to learn to do framing myself.
  3. I need to get better at finishing so my stuff looks that good.
  4. I'm wondering what it would look like without the paint on the phoenix. Just the background paint. I think it takes away from the scroll work, but that's just me.
  5. I just used some the other day. They don't work as well as a regular blade, but I had no problem getting my dewalt to clamp them down. I believe I was using a 2/0, but I could have been under the influence. I was using a spiral blade afterall.
  6. Thanks for all the advice. I'm using the normal 1/4" BB from Home Depot. Looks like standard 5 ply to me. I'll have to try the zero clearance card and maybe just change out my blades more often. I'm bad at using a dull blade.
  7. I've been getting some tear out cutting portraits in 1/4" baltic ply so I thought I would ask the experts on advice. What blades are your favorites? Do you use any kind of top or backer board? I've been using FD #1 reverse on my Dewalt. Any tips or tricks are greatly appreciated. Cutting most of a portrait just to have a piece break off is killing me.
  8. Prayers out to Steve. I appreciate all the work he does for us.
  9. Now idea if you've done it yet or not, but here are a few: Pets Movies Songs Family Buildings Skylines Favorite city National parks Your other hobby
  10. Looks good to me. I tried spirals a week ago and just couldn't get it. kept going way to far outside the lines and even following a smooth curve was hard. Maybe if I practiced, but that would take work. Something I'm just not known for.
  11. Yet another project to put on the list of things I want to do.
  12. A fun cut for me is the one I just discovered and want to do, but don't have the wood or I have a backlog of other projects that have to get done first.
  13. Hello from Phoenix. I've been doing it a while, but I'm still new compared to everyone else here.
  14. You're going to screw it up and it's going to be during your last cut or sanding. Just take a deep breath and enjoy making another one.
