    Meercat

Firstly I would like to thank Mahendra for the fantastic Meercat pattern. Also to apologise to Mahendra for taking so long to cut the pattern after he went to all the trouble to make it for me. I had a fall at home which injured my shoulder and left me unable to do any cutting in the workshop. thankfully I can now get back to cutting again. The Meercat was cut from 4mm Birch ply and finished with 2 coats of sanding sealer and 2 coats of Lacquer. Hope you like the finished item. Keith.
  6. WOW , Mahendra that is fantastic. Thank you so much
  7. Hi Dan, sorry for my long absence, been sorting out a few problems and looking after my Dad (94 yrs old) he had some blood pressure problems after a heart op. His pressure dropped and so did he, but the doctors seem to have sorted it out at last. so it's finally time to dust off the workshop tools again.
  8. Would anyone have a pattern for a meercat standing on it's hind legs please? Thanks in advance. Keefie.
  9. Thanks Kevin, but the last one I made I took to 5 craft fairs and it didn't sell. In the end it was a present for a good friend of mine in Spokane, he keeps it in pride of place above his mantlepiece
  10. Excellent work Marg, they look stunning. What do you use to add the colour? is it a stain or a paint
  11. Another project just finished. A Celtic Cross with Dragons. It is cut in Baltic Birch and finished with sanding sealer and a coat of cellulose lacquer. Hope you like it.

Excellent work there, love the frame too.
  19. Hi Dan, I imported the pattern into CorelDraw, then used the eraser to remove the centre of the cross then just added the name and stretched it to size. If you have trouble doing it let me know and I can either put a name in for you or send you the modified cross with the centre removed. Keith.
  20. My Grandson passed away 4 weeks ago, so I made four of these crosses for the family members as keepsakes. It's made from Baltic birch ply and finished with BLO/thinners then a coat of Lacquer after.
