My son comes round and takes all my offcuts and scrap wood (I get a lot from my woodturning as well) He burns it in his open fire. I told him to buy that machine that compresses all the shavings from woodturning into 4inch diameter logs for burning, but they're too expensive. -
no Marg, I did get it running but windows 10 did an automatic update and stopped it working again lol. Had to do it on dad's old win XP computer.

Melanie, you ought to give something like that a try, they look terrifying to start with but just take it one cut at a time and you will find they are not too hard after all (and your niece will love it) Keith.

Well I spent the last 2 days back in the workshopI finished a Christmas Bell for a customer, and have cut a present for my daughter. The present still needs sanding and little holders on the back to hold the photo's when I put them in. I will update the post when I have completed it and post another picture of the finished picture frame. they are both cut from birch ply. The bell was coloured with water based stain, then sealed with sanding sealer spray followed by a coat of cellulose lacquer. Hope you like them. Keith.

When I make a puzzle I always vacuum pack it. I have a vacuum sealing machine for sealing food when I want to freeze it, and that does a marvellous job on puzzles. The customer can see it through the plastic but it's impossible to take apart until you unwrap it.
