  1. great work there Roly, nicely ballanced too. do you pass the corian right through the wood so it spins on a corian point?
  2. I don't know how you manage to cut it all so fast - with such nice clean cuts too. Excellent work
  3. Beautiful work Kevin,
  4. Well here it is finally finished, just got to get it sent to Denmark now.
  5. absolutely AWESOME clokc there Dick, I think you made the right choice to leave it unfinished. Any glue residue that hasd spilled out, even when wiped off, would leave any finish with a patchy look. Next time I would finish the parts before assembly, dry fit it to ensure the parts fit then finish it before gluing it together. But even without a finish I bet your wife loves it.
  6. I think someone has stolen your picture !!! :o
  7. Looking forward to seeing the finished item, any chance of "work in progress" pics?
  8. Looks very nice, great citting. ( but I don't know who he is either lol)
  9. They're just Awesome, real masterpieces.
  10. Beautifully cut there Hans, especially using dull blades. (although I must admit to being an avid fan of straight blades and only using spirals when absolutely necessary)

I can't see anything wrong with that, looks great.
  13. Thanks Marg, but I fall over 3 - 4 times a week and can barely walk 45yards before I need to sit, I can see the occupants of the age care facility pushing me around in their walkers instead of the other way around
  14. Dad's getting better each day, but still long way to go. I managed to post these pictures twice, the first time it said there was problem so I did it again and then both posts showed up lol. Wish me luck for next Tuesday, I got the farcical ATOS medical - so they'll have me back on jobseekers.
  15. Just finished these 2 orders, they both made from 4mm birch ply. They have coloured card for backers, and they both have 1 coat of sanding sealer and 1 coat of lacquer. Hope you like them. Keith.

  17. Dont bother trying it with a pen Rob, I've already tried it - but when you click to look at the next post in here the writing is still there in front of you!!! (it even stays there when you turn off the computer!!)
  18. Sorry for my spelling mistakes Rob, but I'm still learning to type... reading what I've typed comes next
  19. Roly, did I say sensible?? I appologise I meant to say "insensible" Rob, there is no way you can claim to be a Scotsman and sensible, it's a contridiction having Scotsman and sensible in the same sentance.
  20. Hi, welcome to the Village. I'm Keith from Cornwall UK. You will have to combine your husbands woodturning and your scrolling. He can make the Po-pourri bowl and you can scroll the lids to fit. they look great when finished.
  21. Hi Ron, welcome to the Village. I'm Keith from Newquay. I think Marge was right about Larry, Roly and Rob, but at least there are some sensible ones here too Like Marge and myself (okay , maybe not me then lol) But you will get lots of sensible answers to any questions you might have.
  22. Hi Vic, welcome to the Village. I'm Keith from Newquay (just a couple of hours down the road) Like you I dabble in scrolling and woodturning. If ever you find yourself in Cornwall call in for a coffee and a tour of the workshop.
  23. Hi Angel, welcome to the Village. I'm Keith from Cornwall UK.
