  1. I have just finished the second of my Christmas trees (patterns by Sue Mey) I modified the pattern and extended the base by 3/8" to give it enough wood to insert into the pine base I made for it, it isn't glued to the base so it can be used either with or without the base. A Plaque is also finished (pattern by Sheila Landry) The trees are made from 4mm birch ply and finished with sanding sealer then one coat of Lacquer, The plaque is made from 12mm birch ply (2 x 6mm pieces glued together) and finished the same way, then a red card attatched to the back for the colour. Hope you like them. Keith.
  2. Hi Kevin, here's the picture ( I also put it in " another tree done" today in bragging rights) It is a fairly tight push in fit on the base so it can be used either on the base or without it.
  3. Nicely done Doc, but you nearly gave me a heart attack - 6 days till Christmas and I haven't done my shopping yet !!!!
  4. What a great idea, very nice cutting too.
  5. excellent work there Kevin, I notice that on your "White Christmas" tree you didn't cut the stars out on the bottom section. When I made my ones I cut the stars and extended the bottom by 3/8" then made a stand/base for it so it can either hang on a wall, go on a tree as decoration ot be a freestanding piece. of the 5 I have made so far 4 people wanted it with the base.
  6. Nice set up there Roly, and a profit too, what more could you want except some orders - oops you got them, well done all round

  10. Well Kevin, if you put the inner tubes on your shoes you can carry the wood and walk over!!!
  11. Great work Edward, I like Roly's idea of coloured perspex and a light behind it, one of those battery operated tea lights would work well.

  19. You realise now Kevin, that if ever you come over the big pond to see us over here in U.K. then you need to pack a lot of that free wood to bring for me and Rob (you can keep the $30 they pay you to take it away )
