The plaque I previously showed, Cardinals and Cubs "House Divided" baseball plaque has out sold everything that I have taken to Farmers Market. The stuff that I am really proud of, and trips my trigger there has not been much interest in. I've had a lot of requests already for football so I thought I had better get in gear. The football measures 14" x 9". dave
Marge, The bone measures about 10.5 x 5.5 inches. I use a washer to trace around my project to make backer boards. I don't know much about sharing patterns,,,if this doesn't work I will post a pdf. If you have inkscape I will post it.dave
These projects are really nothing to brag about except it was a nice variety along with the inlays I previously posted. I won't bore you with all the details. I thought maybe someone might find an idea that they may want to use. I sure never mind if someone uses one of my ideas. I changed Steve Goods AF plaque to more suit me. I will mention that I am not going to cut puzzles out of white oak any more too.. darn hard. I found the puzzles at http://www.woodworkingarchive.biz/wooden-puzzles/the-ultimate-puzzle.htmlI dave
I want to thank Steve Good for the vase patterns. Instead of cutting the designs out I inlaid them. I also included a Captain America trinket box made of maple and walnut. I should have drilled my entry holes in the walnut instead of the maple. I should always know to drill on the side of the darker wood. I really enjoy going through my scrap box and turn what some my consider trash into something pretty. dave
I have noticed on this site that many of you use BLO. I always like to try new things so I decided that I would buy some and try it. If I use it on puzzle parts would I have to fallow up with a finish? If I use it on word art would I use it before I put on my backer or after? I would paint my backer black and also use lacquer for my final finish. Any help is appreciated. dave
