  4. Welcome Mike, I am also a newbie at scrolling. I also purchased a Porter Cable in December and am hooked. The plate around the blade that came on my saw sat too low so I made a new one out of Oak. It works a lot better. I am sure as much as I am enjoying it I will upgrade in the future. Since i finished this project I bought new blades on line and it is working a lot better. dave

  19. I am wanting to make a board puzzle with a child's name. I would think the letters should not fit real tight so the letters are easy to put in. Do you have any recommendation how I should do this or what type of blade to use? Thanks, dave

  25. For a slow learner would you recommend Gimp or Inkscape for pattern design. If you feel there is something easier please comment. Sorry if this question has been asked several times before. Thanks, Dave
