    I told Dave at D&D in January that I wanted one. He called me the first of the week and said it was available. I paid for it and he had it dropped shipped the next day. Got it in three days. I love it.

    Received my new saw today from D&D. Didn't even have to make any adjustments to it. Run great straight out of the box. I am totally impressed with it. Time will tell.

    A lot of cabinet manufacturers do it to help cover the light wood to make the color more uniform.

    You got it Bill, It's Beach. Looks a lot like Red oak before I stained it. It cost me the same as red oak so I thought I would try it. I like it because the grain is closed and doesn't split too easy. It is cuts slow because it seems to be pretty hard.

    By gosh I will buy some and try it. I can see where it would work good for backers. Might be a bit harder to get down into fret work. I've been known to try about anything once. I try about anything that people mention on here. I even bought some Titebond Quick and Thick Glue that you mentioned a while back. It is a lot like the Weldbond that I have been using.

    Nope..........not pine. I have never tried jell stain. What is the advantage over wiping stain.

    Just for fun guess what kind of wood. First time I had ever used it. I stained it with Minwax Special Walnut.
