  10. Super pattern and cutting. Love the live edge. Fits the picture well. I would like to cut some basswood sometime.
  11. Paid $625 for it......It wasn't a bargain. I would rather be making something than tinkering with a saw. I think I have only bought three used vehicles in my life.
  12. Talked to Ray this morning. He didn't think it was a metal sound. He said there was a bellows in the bottom tube that had no purpose that maybe that was it. This is the first piece of used equipment I have ever bought. Kicking myself now.
  13. Have one thanks
  14. I have been using my new to me saw for a couple of days and I have a couple of issues with it. Intermittently it sounds like the bottom clamp is hitting the blade guard but it is not. It doesn't usually start doing it while it has been running.......starts as soon as I push the foot pedal. Sometimes it quits in a few seconds, sometimes it continues. Sounds like it is happening at the top of the stroke. Everything in the front seems tight and no play. My bottom clamp is also bending my blades like a hockey stick when I tighten it. I have taken the bottom thumb screw out and lubed the tip. Any ideas would be appreciated.
  15. Jim, I did tune it yesterday as good as I am capable, considering my ignorance of the saw. The blade travel seems a bit strange to me. I have it adjusted where the top and bottom of the stroke are at the same point but in the middle of the stroke the blade goes back. Not knowing anything about the saw I don't know if that is good or bad.
  16. Used them both today. My new EX is more aggressive than my Hegner.........I think I can cut finer detail on my Hegner. If I could only have one saw it would still be my Hegner. Time will tell.
  17. Yes.........it is in my shop and it is up and running. Drove down today and bought it. Seems to be a good saw.....time will tell. I have been wanting an EX..........never see them used around here. I wouldn't take anything for my Hegner but when it comes to large projects it will really be nice to top feed again.
  18. The only thing holding me back is that it is about two hours away. It would stink if it isn't what he says it is.
  19. https://waco.craigslist.org/tls/d/excalibur-ex-30-tilting/6762223682.html I am looking to buy another saw. Your opinion is appreciated. Can you top feed with this saw?
  20. You will have to print this on 8 1/2" x 14" Please use for personal use only. Texas Longhorns1.pdf Texas Longhorns2.pdf
  21. They are 1/2" Baltic Birch.
  22. I am currently cutting my backers with a scroll saw. Would I be able to cut them on a band saw? Would there be much chipping on the back side? I am looking for a faster way than my scroll saw.
  23. Super saw. I have had mine for a year. Bought it new.
  24. Super job Marg. Love the black fame on it.
