I use Pegas #1R MGT blades. The reverse teeth are on the bottom 3/4" of the blade. I have very little tear out. Also change blades often. Dull blades will cause more tear out.

Just to let everyone know, Pegas is backordered on many items. The saw is now in stock, but the stand will not be available until January. -
For veining, I use Pegas Spiral blades the number depends on the thickness of the vein. Pulling the blades back out the vein cleans out most of the fuzzies.

Very nice cutting. As Dan said exact 45 degrees and length. As a framer, we use two chop saws and jigs.
