This project is finally framed. I actually stack cut two. The other will not be framed, but shrink wrapped. The pattern is by Gary Browning called In The Saddle. Cut on the Pegas Scroll Saw using Pegas #1R MGT blades. The finish is two coats spray Lacquer.

If it happens on sanding, I use a Mac Mop installed on the drill press. I purchased from Klingspor about $40.

I don't use the clamps. I wrap with packaging tape and rewrap if needs be.

Do you use both straight and spiral blades?

I use both and it depends on the project. In general. spirals for portraits. With that said, I just finished "In The Saddle" by Gary Browning. Lots of straight lines, so I used Pegas #1R MGT blades. -

Thanks Les. The pattern is for an 8” bowl, but I increased the pattern to fit the 10” stock.

Thanks Dan. I used the Shellac as a sanding sealer. After sanding, the Lacquer for a hard finish.

I stack cut this pattern by Steve Good. I used 1/4" Baltic Birch plywood and backed with 3/8" Baltic Birch plywood stained with SamaN stain. Cut on the Pegas Scroll Saw using #1R and #5R MGT blades. The finish is one coat spray Shellac and two coats Lacquer Clear Satin.

This pattern is by Alex Fox purchased from his Etsy store. I used 1/4" Walnut 10" square. Cut on the Pegas Scroll Saw using #1R MGT blades. The hard part was the glue up. The finish was one coat spray Shellac and two coats Lacquer Clear Satin.
