  1. Thanks Don. You got that right about the glue up.

  5. Thanks Pete. You heading north soon?
  6. Alex Fox Pattern of Basket C16. I enlarged the pattern by 30% to fit 1/4" x 10" square Baltic Birch plywood. Cut on the Pegas Scroll Saw using #1 MGT blades. Pilot holes drilled with #68 HSS twist drill bits. Sanded with a Mac Mop and finished with two coats spray Lacquer Clear Gloss. Comments welcome.
  7. Thanks Ralph. Basswood was a little too soft for me. I now prefer #6 Super Skip for compound cutting.
  8. Thanks Pete. Yes, the tree was getting bare.
  9. Thanks Griz. Yes, when I need something fun, this is what I cut.
  10. Thanks Rodney. I cut four birds on a stock 3/4" x 3/4" x 6". This allows better control with my fingers.
  11. Thanks Matt. Cuts like butter on the scroll saw, but for me too soft.
  12. Thanks for the nice comment.
  13. Funny, RJ. At least you did not say Alcatraz.
  14. Miniature Birdhouse Ornaments pattern by the late Diana Thompson. The wood for the birdhouses is Basswood and for the little birds, Purpleheart. Cut on the Pegas Scroll Saw using Pegas #6 Super Skip blade. After sanding with a Mac Mop, dipped in diluted Shellac, then sanded again. Comments welcome.
  15. Back to compound cutting, way to go!
