Nice work. I haven't drank since they invented the funnel.
  3. An "Award winning Scroller", yep that sounds good. Congrats!
  4. I cut this a while back thought I would share it. This is a Wildwood design 10x12 done in 1/2" cherry finished in blo & polyurethane. Due to the amount of cuts in the head area, in particular the hair, I went thru the pattern with a red marker and placed a dot on all the saved pieces so I did not wander off and forget which is scrap & is not. Thanks for looking.
  5. Awesome, choice of woods lends itself to these patterns. Beautiful work!
  6. Welcome from the Buckeye state. Good looking projects.
  7. Welcome Maurice, new or experienced there is something to learn here. Not sure about the saws available to you but I agree with Larry on the pin less blades, this might narrow the search. Invest in what you can, small drill bits, spray glue, and work up from there. I would check out the Pattern library for some inspiration.
  8. The internet is a great source for parts and most dealers use this but, nothing beats being a "SLOB" (shop locally owned business).
  9. Have to agree with other posters, your getting it you just need to slow down a bit and enjoy it. The project looks good. Using thinner stock tends to let the blade work easier just adjust your slots for the thinner stock. Your early pieces are good to keep, this allows you to grade your progress down the road.
  10. I sign and date mine with a ballpoint pen.
  11. I have to agree, that plastic could not have worked better. Should look great at night.
  12. Nice work. How are you providing the colors?

Ok, this opens up a new world of ideas. Nice work.
  14. Beautiful job Ralph. Your patience shows in your work.
  15. Thanks for all the replies folks. Now that I know what I'm looking for I think I'll go find some.
  16. Ok, I've seen "Blue Pine" used on several projects and by different members with amazing results. I've learned about this wood on this site and not knowing about it I've never looked for it. So I have to ask, is this readily available or is this a regional wood?
  17. I agree 100% but, please exercise your right to vote.
  18. While we are on this subject, do you drill the pilot holes at the same angle?

    Hi

    Welcome from the Buckeye state.
  20. These coins are always impressive. Great job.
  21. Welcome Melanie, there is a world of resources here and many talented crafts people. Remember, once you peel the pattern off the wood no one knows the you drifted off the line.
  22. Question, what type of saw is this and how far does it tilt
  23. Wow, at first I thought you were talking about your golf game but after seeing the pics its obvious your not chasing a little ball. Beautiful pieces and the wood choices are spot on. The dog would be my #1 pick.
  24. Nice job Kris on both the cutting and the pattern.
  25. Its like owning two pair of work boots, sometime the change just feels good.
