  2. Years ago I borrowed a camcorder and video taped all of my tools in the shop and personal items in the house & stored the tape in our safety deposit box at the bank. After reading this thread I was reminded I hadn't updated this in a long time & after talking about this to the LOML she reminded me we don't even own a VCR. Good time to do this all over again.
  3. When creating a post fill in the tags with some key words or subject of your post, this helps the search narrow things down.
  4. Great job. Where did you find the wings/root pattern?
  5. Space does seem to be a issue in most shops. I planned on making a downdraft table that would fit on a countertop but after following this thread I think I have more space under the counter for a 2'x2'x30" tall mobile table. Sorting through unused material & supplies to make the space may prove to be the bigger challenge.
  6. These were fairly inexpensive to built, pick up a used blower from an hvac co. Just vacuum the filters occasionally.
  7. I just replaced the sanding pads on my ROS and found quite a bit of fine dust caked in around the dust ports. This was the first time I replaced pads and the sanders are about 8-10 years old.
  8. Not sure if they are close to you. https://www.menards.com/main/building-materials/panel-products/hardwood-panels/1-4-x-4-x-8-b4-natural-maple-mdf-core-plywood/14x4x8b4maplemdf/p-1444445023123.htm
  9. Found this link from @flarud https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N6VKOQS/ref=dp_prsubs_1, but not sure if this is the same ones that @Rockytime used,
  10. I like that you can now click "patterns" in the tool bar & go directly to the pattern library and not have to deal with the dropdown menu.
  11. I cut with my table flat and the table is just below my elbow height when sitting. This seems to keep my neck a little straighter. I would agree with others, try different set-ups & see what is most comfortable for yourself.
  12. Thanks Ray, I'll have to look those up.
  13. @danny, you may have covered this in another post & I apologize if I missed it but I was curious where you purchased the flexible hose on the end of your piping system?
  14. That is one great looking piece! Were you able to stack cut the side panels?
  15. This may help
  16. I use duck brand shelf paper on the wood & 77 on the pattern paper but with the cost & time of all three I'm willing to try something new. Is there a preferred brand of labels, better or worst, than other brands?
  17. https://www.grainger.com/product/AIRLOC-Vibration-Isolation-Pad-3ECL3? These might help. I used these to replace the rubber feet that failed on an older delta. Like Kevin stated I had to zero in on how tight the bolts were to reduce the vibration, also used aviation nuts so they would stay in place.
  18. Great looking piece. Glad to hear your are mastering a spiral blade, something that I"ve yet to do.
  19. Nice work Kevin
  20. I bought a pair cyclist gloves with the padding in the palm & when I use my palm sander it helps to reduce the vibration in the hands.
  21. Great looking pieces.
  22. @John B I am with you on this. I know a lot of people do these shows & I'm not knocking anyone that does, but for me there seems to be just too much stress. My wife does six shows a year and she pretty much has her head in the game when it comes to making, planning & setting up and goes merrily along her way. I'm doing a big show with her this coming weekend, just my second show, and after that shop time is going to be my time. To everyone of you that do these shows on a regular basis, I salute you.
  23. That looks sweet, nice work!
  24. We had Pat Catan stores close in this area and quickly opened up as Michaels. Seems like when one company tries to corner a market it never ends well.
  25. Never had any luck without a mouse pad. I have found a mouse pad that has a gel pad sewn into the wrist area of the pad to help with sleepy hands. It tends to keep the wrist level with the palm of the hand. Due to an injury when I was young my right index finger tends to go numb very quickly when using a mouse, the solution for me is to have the mouse settings set for left hand use and I then use my right middle finger on the right mouse button. The index finger is just used to right click or in my case left click. This solved the numbing issue but drives everyone crazy when they use my computer.
