  1. Scott, Iggy, may be out selling somewhere this weekend or he might just be enjoying some family time this holiday weekend. We will tag him though @Iguanadon so he can come in when he returns to the village and give some more info./insight on his processes. He has done several threads here in the Village that outline how he does his puzzles from setup, cutting, to finishing as well as one on his selling setup. If I don't find them quickly to add the links to here, perhaps he can when he returns. Oh, looks like he has been at the Farmer's Market this weekend - see this post in Bragging Rights http://www.scrollsawvillage.com/forums/topic/29538-farmers-market-week-1/?tab=comments#comment-330415 You can find his website, with all of the different puzzles he has that were created by Harvey Bylar for purchase here: https://woodcraftbyscott.com and here is link to his original post on his "assembly line" setup on doing his puzzles. http://www.scrollsawvillage.com/forums/topic/20547-iggys-animal-puzzle-assembly-line/ You can search the village for more of his threads or wait for him to come along and give some more links.
  2. I can't help you with any of that info. but wanted to wish you well in your move and in finding fellow scrollers in your new home area.
  3. All of the rings look beautiful Wayne. thanks for sharing them.
  4. Nice work Mimi. Give the pattern making another try, it will get easier as you do another, then another. These type are not that hard if you have a little patience with yourself and the process. It will get easier. I can see why your friend liked it. Thanks for sharing.
  5. Welcome to the Village from the great state of Tennessee in the United States. Good to have you hear. Great place for rookies to learn, and we love seeing projects.
  6. Welcome to the Village from East TN. Look forward to your participation.
  7. I too had been wondering what had happened to you. Thought you were on vacation maybe. Here you go and say no, you've gone to work for some young kids. Hope they pay well so you can get that planer and get back to work. While you are at it, maybe save up for some A/C for your shop area then it won't matter that it is summer time in FL.
  8. One day maybe I will get to that or another event. Too much going on this time of year right now. Daughter graduates from college this weekend. I knew Steve was going as he had referenced it on his blog. Perhaps he will give a plug for Harvey's puzzles one day.
  9. Welcome to the Village. Glad to have you join us. Enjoy your new saw, and I agree with you, I believe they have shrunk those blades over the years. Look forward to your participation. Show us what you are doing with that new saw and blades.
  10. Nice work Ralph. I downloaded that pattern from Steve's site as well. Plan to cut it for hubby's BIL who plays the sax for a living. I think he will like it. Will be a bit before I can get to it though. Thanks for sharing yours.
  11. Well, at least you sold some stuff, at least it was only a 1/2 day event, and you learned some more things to add to your "booklet" about selling. Overall, sounds like a decent day. Thanks for sharing your good and bad things you learn along the way so others can learn from you. Now, how many other customized names you going to carry around as a sample?
  12. Good to hear you are getting good saw therapy in now. Will expedite the healing I am sure. Hope both your's and Mary Ann's appts. with the Drs. went well.
  13. My husband was looking at the Sawstop table saw a couple of years ago now. I insisted that he purchase it. I told him if it saved his hand or a finger it was money well spent. He also had all the other safe tools that helped make it safer to use a table saw and had good habits but as I told him, it just takes once to slip so he listened to me and bought the Sawstop. Aren't I a good wife.?!? I still won't use the table saw yet. If I need something cut that requires it, I wait and let him do it for me.
  14. Glad to be of any help when I can. I'm with you, I love coming to the village and the great help and friendship that is always provided here.
  15. Beautiful box DW. Thanks for sharing it.
  16. Nicely done and I am sure the recipients at the rodeo will be thrilled with them. Thanks for sharing.
  17. I'm with Ralph, I really like how you did the edges. I always thinks that just "finishes" off a plaque. Great job and I am sure your sister loves it. Thanks for sharing.
  18. Nice work and I am sure he appreciated it and will bring a smile to many. Thanks for sharing.
  19. That ended up turning out excellent Joey. I am sure the customer and his granddaughter were more than pleased. Thanks for sharing the final project. I like your framing as well.
  20. Welcome to the Village from East Tennessee Paul. Congratulations on your new saw. Enjoy it and be sure tp participate here regularly. Lots of experienced users more than willing to help out as someone needs. Lots of projects and inspirations here to try from the beginner level to the advanced.
  21. Yeah, great to hear Brad. I am sure you were like a little kid in the candy shop! Now, take your time and behave so you don't get grounded again! Keep a chair and stool out there and rest when you need. Look forward to seeing what you are working on.

    Hi!

Another welcome to the Village from East Tennessee. Glad to have you.
  24. Thanks for sharing Les. Not sure, but I think hubby has one of those he made for the bandsaw. I will check, and if I am mistaken I will make sure he makes US one.
  25. I'm with Frank, I often use that guy. If you click on the face, and then click on Categories on the top right side of the box that opens, and then select "Emoticons" - you will find the original ones we have always had here on the forum. Once you use it, it will appear at the top in your "recently used" list. Those of curse will change around as you start to use them so if you use him regularly like Frank and I, it should stay in our recent list. I found it interesting though that the "oops" or "embarrassed" is not a "standard" emoji. I even double-checked on my phone and iPad and looked pretty closely and is not there. I think it needs to be added to the "standard" emojis!
