  1. Nice job Kevin. So did you finally track down the original pattern or did you craft your own?
  2. Nice work as always Kevin. I hear you on the heat. We were in FL last week visiting the mouse. It was definitely hot. Hot here too - makes me not want to go outside. Hope it cools down for you soon.
  3. Hi Jason and welcome to the Village from the foothills of the Great Smokey Mountains of East TN. Glad to have you join us and look forward to your participation Hopefully someone can give your patterns a try/look over and give you some feedback. i tend not to cut this type of work right now so wouldn't be able to give you much insight. They look good at a quick glance. Couple of things I have learned here from others is to make sure you don't have any "floaters" and try not to have any real fragile parts that would easily break when cutting. Beyond that, I will leave it to the experts here to give you great feedback. I did check out your website and you have some nice looking patterns there at really good prices. Good luck to you. One quick question - do you have a separate site to review your CNC patterns?
  4. I see they came from the Jack Daniel's distillery here in Lynchburg, TN. Great get. Maybe you want to make them into "scratch and sniff" items!
  5. Welcome to the Village. Glad you got your second wind with the saw. Look forward to seeing your work and your participation here.
  6. Don, if it has to be "that" pattern, reach out to Brian above via PM. If you are looking generally for a scarecrow pattern, Judy Gale Roberts has one on her site found here: https://intarsia.com/search?q=scarecrow
  7. Welcome to the Village from the Eastern part of Tennessee here in the USA. Look forward to your participation.
  8. Welcome to the Village from the state of Tennessee in the USA. We are glad you found us and look forward to your participation. Your doing fine with your English.
  9. Congratulations. Nice looking project.
  10. Hi Bob and welcome to the Village from East Tennessee. Look forward to having you participate.

  12. Nice work Kevin. At least one of us is getting some sawdust piled up. Looks like you will have lots of happy customers. Thanks for taking time to share.
  13. Great idea and your projects look very nice. Thanks for sharing.
  14. Good to hear that things are going well for Harvey all though 8 hours under the gas and knife is hard on anyone - including the waiting family members! Prayers said that he heals well and is back to working hard on patterns soon. I am sure it will help him recuperate.

    Excalibur EX-21

I purchased a used Excalibur saw (purple) after hearing so many people say it was "the" saw to have. I had also used one at Judy Gale Roberts Studio and thought it worked better then the Dewalt 788 (Type 1) that I already had at the time. I think it is a great saw and easy to use. It tilts a full 45% to either side, nice when needing that for projects. I got a new Seyco saw a year ago. It only tilts 30%. While the Seyco is now my go to saw (mainly because it was a gift), I still have my Excalibur as my "back up" saw. I consider both the Excalibur and the Seyco to be excellent machines that will last a long time if you take minimal care with them.
  16. Scott, looks like on the whole you had a good 3- day event. Except for that heat. Bum,ear you were out away from additional shade. I was just thinking, when you first started down this road, you indicated you were going to make a donation to your local animal shelter or something from each animal puzzle you sold. (Least wise I seem to recall that but my brain may not be firing on all cylinders and maybe I am confused. ) Anyway, if I am remembering correctly, I was just wondering if you cared to share how much you have been able to donate? I am thinking it would be quite a few pennies.

    Seyco ST-21

I have one of the first of these saws manufactured and sold from April, 2017. it is now July, 2018 so I have had the saw for a little over a year. I think it is a great saw. I like it and it works well. I have had no issues with it in that year. I use it to cut wood for intarsia, compound cuts, and more. I have also had a Dewalt 788 (Type 1) and a purple Excalibur. The Seyco has become my go to saw. Steve Good has done some excellent reviews of this saw that I believe are spot on so instead of writing up my own, I will just point you to Steve's on his blog - "Scrollsaw Workshop." His first initial review can be found here (with link to a video review): http://scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.com/2017/04/the-seyco-st-21-scroll-saw-review-video.html; He then did an initial followup on it about four months later and it can be found here: (scroll past the "Fist Bump" Pattern or download it!): http://scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.com/2017/08/fist-bump-scroll-saw-pattern.html and then he did a second followup at around 6 months it found here: (scroll down past the "Naughty or Nice" santa pattern or better yet - download it!). http://scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.com/2017/11/naughty-or-nice-scroll-saw-pattern.html I would advise anyone getting one that you watch Steve Good's assembly video before attempting to put it together. It's not difficult, but there are some "tips" Steve gives that will help it go more smoothly. You can find it here:
  19. @Travis, just an FYI - I just uploaded a number of different manuals for many of the saws that did not yet have them uploaded. Didn't take too much effort, quick google searches turned up many of them. Just wanted you to know that I had done several in case you suddenly notice a large data storage increase or some other issue. Hopefully not an issue. Right now, all of the saws should have manuals uploaded for them now except for the following which I have not been able to locate. If anyone has one or can find them for these saw, it would be great if you could upload it. If you have the manual, but don't know how to upload it - let me know and I will be happy to help. Those presently listed in the Reviews section and still needing a manual uploaded as of 7/5/2018 are: Eclipse, Excelsior XL-30/100, PS Wood Machines 14" and 21", Rockwell RK7315 (I think I found the parts list only and uploaded it), and the Scheppach Deco 405. I also noticed that the newer Seyco saw is not yet listed. Since I own it, I will add it and get the manual up for it as well.
