Who wants to make Travis' Christmas wish come true? We need one more person to send Travis 5 ornament designs to take us to his 50 for the year. @MrsN and Travis will get their's done I know. Can we get one more person to help us out? They don't have to be complicated - we need ornaments for beginners too (that's usually what mine are aimed for - easy for me and beginners!)

Travis, I just sent mine via email to you and wanted to say "oops", and I'm sorry! After sending them, I was re-reading your top post and saw that I missed the statement "please keep black and white, no gray." I did send SVG files to you so hopefully you can easily correct. If you want/need me to resend as black and white, let me know and that is easy enough for me to do. Now that Gramp, Paul, has said to count him in - we are up to 8 designers looks like with 5 of us having submitted. Means we need just 2 more folks to join in to get to Travis' wish of adding 50 new patterns to the book. Come on guys and gals - who wants to join us and make Travis' Christmas wish come true? If you aren't sure, download the book and look through it and see what has been provided in the past, it will give you some ideas AND show you that it's not that hard to do some basic designs.

Great looking work all around. Nice work on the cutting, the painting and the laser names on the brooms. I was just counting up this morning how many we were expecting for Thanksgiving. I think I counted about 17 - need to count again and make sure as that would be a smaller then normal number but one sister and her family I know are probably not going to be able to make it and we are down both some other family members in the past couple of years and some extended family are not coming in this year. Fortunately we don't do all the cooking, we do the turkey and ham, and rolls and a couple things and everyone else brings a side dish or two and/or a dessert to share. Makes it easy enough and everybody knows they have something their kids will like! Course, all those kids are now grown or almost grown! I have never done "place card" sitting, everybody just sits wherever they find a place but I have always liked the ideas like these people did. Perhaps I could simply make them and let them use to "identify" their own seat or take as an early Christmas gift. Thanks for sharing.

Why do I have two scroll saws set up? My husband probably wonders thst too. especially since they are in “his” shop. Technically, we have 3 “ in the house.,” but only two are setup. Actually, it’s his fault. We had the big yellow “Type 1” Dewalt. We had had it for many, many years but was little used. Then, when I got interested again and took some Intarsia classes, I purchased a used purple Excalibur from Seyco after using one at my classes. I was happy with that saw. I liked that saw. It’s a good Saw. But, hubby struggles with what to buy me for gifts. I am not a jewelry kinda girl. My birthday is the week after Mother’s Day. The new Seyco Saw came out and was reviewed in the Scrollsaw Woodworking and Crafts magazine shortly before that month one year. So hubby being a good hubby, ordered me the new Seyco Saw. That moved the Dewalt out of the workshop. One reason i keep the Excalibur setup is because you can tilt it more then the Seyco. I also like having both if something happened to one even though I do not sell. The big question is what we are doing with the Type 1 Dewalt. Since it’s a “Type 1,” I hate to just get rid of it. So it is sitting in the garage while I decide what to do with it. I keep hoping somebody in the family wants to learn.

Good news is you have several saws, bad news is there is only one of you to use them. perhaps you need to train some of those kids and put them to work at least with the packing. sorry you had the breakage, glad you are getting lots of orders. Will help pay for that new table saw .

When hubby was looking at new table saws a few years ago, and hemmed and hawed about the Saw Stop due to the price, I told him to get it. His work requires full use of his hands - I told him if it saved his fingers someday, it was worth every penny we spent on it. Especially with two kids in college. He got the 3 HP because he did have a 220 in the workshop because he had one put in when we built the house. We have recently added a couple more 220 plugs for some other equipment. It can be done if your electrical panel has room for it. It has been a great saw. As JT noted, there are things like wet wood that can throw it and you can bypass if you test and know that is the case as I recall. The blades and break are pricy if you do throw it as I recall, but still a lot cheaper then a trip to the emergency room. Hubby, has not had an issue yet where he has cause it to be thrown. But I am happy knowing that that safety feature is there should something go wrong. Even with that, I will not use the table saw - anything I want or need done with the table saw I leave to him. I know he has been happy with the saw.

I just wanted to add a note to sayI heard back from Steve Good. He wasn’t sure why it wasn’t showing up in the online catalog. Said it might be there but mislabeled or simply not there. However, he has now added it into the catalog so it should be easy to find next time. He said either a search for “Jesus” or “cross” would find it. Since he just added it, it presently shows on the first page as one of the “latest” patterns added also.

Thank you Bob, spirithorse, for tracking it down. I too had looked in Steve's online catalog and though I think 51 cross patterns showed up, this one did not. I have sent him an email noting that this one is missing from the online catalog. Glad you were able to find it for GrampaJim!

The only place I have found this image is on Pinterest which shows a photo of one made and listed previously on someone’s Etsy site. It is however not presently in their Etsy shop.

While she has a ton of beautiful crosses (70 pages, 12 to a page ), I saw some similar “curved” patterns, and one that has the Jesus but in a different font. I did not see this one, but did not check every page. i will keep looking but maybe someone else knows and can let us know. i love these crosses and need to make some at some point.
