  1. I have one. Thanks.
  2. Yah, but one has to go.
  3. That's gorgeous!
  4. Whatever the wood, you did a magnificent job!
  5. WOW! You keep knocking them out.
  6. I just acquired another Hegner this evening. A Maxicut 18. It was advertised on "Letgo." A friend pointed it out to me Sunday. The seller said to see him on Monday after 5PM. I texted him for an address but never received an answer.Tuesday evening I texted him again and asked, "If still available I'm still interested." He returned the text and said he would be home this evening. I found him in a mobile home park. Very nice park but his back yard looked like Sanford and son. I walk with a cane and I had a terrible time getting into the back yard. I was expecting a rust bucket but was pleasantly surprised. Everything is in great shape except the exposed steel parts. I can take care of that tomorrow. Great buy at $300.
  7. It is nice looking pine on one side so I know it is pine. I never checked other 1x4s when I bought it. That may have been the only one and I was just lucky. I have cedar fence boards to make frames.
  8. I'm confused about a lot of things but this time it is about plain old pine boards.I cut lot's of pine as I don't sell my cuttings so I don't use many hard woods aside from Poplar and Oak. I brought home some 1" boards from HD. The one by four is smooth on one side only. The other side is extremely rough. It is also thicker than a regular 1" board. I'm thinking it just happened to miss the planer on one side.
  9. I've been using a #68 for nearly everything. It is seldom that I use anything larger than a #5 blade. But then I cut very few things greater than 3/4". Others may have different needs.
  10. You have 5 sq ft more than me you lucky guy!
  11. I've been scrolling a little over two years I think. I recently purchased a 14V Hegner and you have to load the lower clamp first.I don't think I know how to top feed with it. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding something.
  12. That system makes good sense.
  13. Thanks. Your method is outstanding.
  14. Great cutting. I love the animal puzzles. What is the finish? Looks splendid.
  15. Great cutting! I like it spelling and all.
  16. That came out just great. I really like the script.
  17. I'm envious of all your space Ray. You have 117 sq ft. My little 8 X 14 is only 112 sq ft, You are one lucky fella.
  18. I'm sure he loves it. Great job!
  19. Great pattern and you've cut it beautifully!
  20. I remember as a kid a sign painter would make his rounds to the small towns every year and do all the sign painting for everyone. I remember him coming to my dad's dental office to letter my dad's frosted glass office door. He had a thing he called a dop stick. It was about 18 inches long with a leather ball at the end which was the size of a golf ball. He would rest his wrist on the stick as he did the lettering. I've always been impressed with sign and show card painters. Some talented painters out there!
  21. Your cutting is excellent. The thing is you see when you miss a line but when the pattern is removed you can no longer see it and everything looks perfect. Don't be hard on yourself, you've done great!
  22. Beautiful pattern and perfect cutting.
  23. Thanks for posting Paul. Good looking DC. Is that from Home Depot? Seems like someone posted a picture of one like it some time ago. Perhaps it was you. I have a lot of connectors from Woodcraft when I made a DC for my lathe. Bought lots of stuff I didn't need. Never returned it as they are about a 40 minute drive traffic. Decided it was not worth it. Ilso bought crappy plastic gates which I never use. They always stick so it is easier to put an old tennis ball in the lines not in use. Works well and is foolproof.
  24. Thanks for posting. That's a good looking system. I used plastic tie-downs to contain everything as I have lots of them and they are quite sturdy. I used the rear of the saw because I have a little tray on the side that is quite handy. I notice you have two loc-lined on the top. Is one vacuum and the other blowing the sawdust toward the vacuum? That makes sense. Can you post a photo of the right side of your saw?
  25. Thanks Rolf. Dynamic system you have. Not sure that works as well on the Hegner as the Hawk has that great extra space along side the saw. The Hegner does not have that. That does not mean something cannot be fabricated. The "Mag Switches." I had looked into them some time ago. $35 and up. I would have to wait for Santa Clause. Although my dial test indicators are all mounted on mag switch type holders. I never get tired perusing your DC photos.
