  1. This has to do with the 220 Hawk lower clamps. Out of curiosity I checked my three clamps. One has a roll pin. The other two have dowel pins. I'm guessing the one with the roll pin is the original that came with the saw. The other two are most likely the new ones I ordered.
  2. Hi Jackie. Welcome to the village. I'm sure you will feel very at home here.
  3. There is a Multi-Max 18 for sale near me. It looks great on craigs list. Year is 1995. Price $375 with stand and foot switch and light. Does not have an up front quick tension lever. If saw is good is the price reasonable? Owner has three Hegners and is selling one.
  4. Very nice cutting. I remember the second piece from years ago and it still brings a smile.
  5. What about shelf paper?
  6. What is he expecting?
  7. I have a two car garage. My small shop is partitioned off in the front right corner of the garage. 8X14. It does not to to the end of the garage because I allowed room for the garage door to open. The shop is insulated. I have a nice window and a small AC unit through the back wall and a small 210V overhead heater. The small area keeps me cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
  8. That is so realistic I got scared!
  9. You are on a roll. Everything looks great. That marble game looks interesting.
  10. Hobby Lobby is close to me. Thank you.
  11. Great cutting. I especially like hummingbirds ans maple leaf. At least I think it's a maple leaf. You sure seem to a lot done for a guy with not much time. Prolific.
  12. Great looking revolvers! You did very well.
  13. You are really thinking big. I really like it or is it them?

    MOMS

Sports Mom. Those are very nice. Nice patterns and nice cutting.
  15. Beautiful patterns and cutting. The honeycomb piece is my favorite.
  16. That's a cute, fat little fella. Nicely done.
  17. Rather than hijack another thread I thought I wad start another. I have never cut live edge anything so I know nothing about it. Where do you buy it? How does one keep the bark from falling off? Are some woods better for keeping their bark attached? I'd like to try some. The finished pieces posted here are beautiful
  18. Many thanks Melanie and all who gave suggestions for me. I just finished a walking bird which does not walk. Just falls on it's beak. Back to some barnyard engineering.
  19. What does your wife mean by "more stuff?" That saw is a treasure and she needs to be made aware of it. "Dragging things home," those are obnoxious words. It should say you acquired things. But what the heck do I know?
  20. Kevin, I have the small one. I use 4" PVC to bring it into my shop and use a gate with a 2" reducer and a 2" flex hose to the saw. At first I made a reducer to a 1" flex hose which dramatically reduced the suction. Therefore I went back to the 2" hose. If I set it up for dust collection at the top also I will use a splitter and use two 1" flex hoses. I won't reduce the air flow more than 2" total. Yes the DC does pick up smaller pieces that drop down around the blade. There is excellent suction there.
  21. I generally don't check the difference between free shipping and non-free shipping. I just look at the lowest price period. I have never seen that there was much difference. I have ordered Forstner type bits often on ebay. Sometimes with free shipping and sometimes not. If I sometimes I had to pay shipping it made pennies difference. I have Amazon Prime so when ordering larger items it pays because everything is free shipping. Nothing in life is free.
  22. I just use the cheap HF dust collector and have it mounted outside the wall of my shop. Two inch diameter tube sucks everything including small chips. Sometime I shall divert some of the suction to the top of the saw. But not today.
  23. Thanks John. I also have a 220 Hawk. I do not have that problem but will store that information for future possible use.
  24. That is a gorgeous piece. Every fisherman would love that!
  25. You will do well. I see on the Denver Craigslist there three Q3s ranging from $150 to $250. One is listed as a Type 2. I have heard only good things about them. Also a Hegner Multi-max 18 for $395. Looks like new but does not have the front tension release.
