  1. Those are great.
  2. Things go better with Coke but you did a beautiful job!
  3. If you can cut a pattern from it, it is not scrap. You have cut a very nice piece. Thanks for posting it.
  4. I was given some 1/4" underlay used under flooring. I was given a couple of half sheets and the finish is just like the BB I buy from Woodcraft. It does have a knot here and there which adds character and the other side is printed with a lot of very shirt little green stripes. I am nearly out of it and will have to see if I can find the stuff in HD or Lowes, 30"X30" BB at Woodcraft is a bit over $30. I have to scrounge.
  5. Wow! you did excellent. I did download an actual sign off the internet. It copied excellent. Thank you so much for the effort. You did very well.
  6. Thanks Ray. I tried downloading lrfanview but it did not want to download. I'll try again this afternoon.
  7. I hope the water does not rise more. Floods are very messy to clean. Glad you don't have a basement. Be safe.
  8. Welcome to the Village Jason. We're glad to have you here. You're gonna like it here.

  14. That is beautiful Travis. Well done.
  15. Hi Ray. Thanks, but you recommended jing to me sometime ago. I googled Burma Shave. It took me to a Smithsonian site which had a collection of signs one of which I captured with jing and printed it. The image is 3.5" X 8.25". I'll take it Office Max tomorrow and have them enlarge it 150% which will make it about 5.5" X 12". I'm excited to cut it. Only because it brings back memories.
  16. I remember those so well as a kid riding down the highway with my family. I would love to cut the logo. I captured with jing but can't enlarge as it is not a jpg. Can anyone tell me how to do that? I don't sell anything. I just think it is so cool to hang up in the shop.
  17. WOW! Nice pattern and great cutting.
  18. Great cutting on a great pattern. I love it.
  19. Thanks Jim. You said it much better than I could.
  20. Cute little fella.
  21. Really cute. Good job Don.
  22. Large serif typefaces like 72 point and larger are not a problem for me. It is the smaller sizes, 48 point and smaller that give me a problem. Takes a hell of a lot better scroller than me to cut them.
  23. Hi John. I also like scripts. However I am referring to serifs as opposed to scripts. Scripts do not have serifs. Serifs are on fonts like Times Roman, Cheltenham, Bodoni and such. The serif fonts were designed to make each character differentiate from another by using narrow and bold strokes along with the tiny serifs. Books, magazines and newspapers usually are printed with serif faces. Other literature such as used in advertising and others use sanserif typefaces like Helvetica and Ariel because they have a more uncluttered and stylish appearance.
  24. My black motorcycles always beat the red ones!
  25. Great looking box.
