  1. I'm not suggesting that the stand is uncomfortable but rather how a stand can be made more comfortable and stable. A three legged stool never rocks.
  2. I could never make one but round and elliptical clock cases and doors that I have seen are segmented. I think a reasonable woodworker, and there are several on this site that I know of, could make one. Would be interesting to see a demo.Wedding Plaque Help (opinions)
  3. After seeing the Hegner saw stands it has always seemed to me that the saw is mounted backwards. If the single leg faced the operator, the operators knees would slip comfortably around it. Unless wearing a kilt or dress of course. As it is presently mounted do not your shins contact the cross piece. This not an earth shaking problem for me since I do not own a Hegner. I do however, own a couple Hawks and have often thought If I were to design a stand it would be triangular and always be stable and more comfortable. But then, alas, what do I know?

  24. The inlay, wood, lining, everything is beautiful. Stunning is a better word for it.
