  1. Thank you Kevin. That is exactly what I needed. That 81K is so smudged it was hard to read. I'm ordering right now before the big game today!
  2. Fabulous!
  3. You are the man. You do everything and do it well.
  4. Your cutting always amazes me. I like all of them and the Super Jesus is my favorite.
  5. Hi Barb. Don't you just hate when children do that? Very nice comb.
  6. Looks great! I like it.
  7. That Mallard looks great.
  8. Problem is I can't use a phone very well so calling providers is out of the question. I know about pots. It's just that there thousands of various kinds. Used to be much simpler when I was doing TV repair years ago. I just got my parts and tubes from an electronics supplier. Back then there were not that many types. They are interchangeable to some degree.
  9. I need a 81K pot for my hawk controller. There are perhaps a thousand different types, linear, watts, ohms etc. I've done a google and ebay search. I'm confused. The only thing on the pot is Mouser 81K. I've searched Mouser and the selection is mind boggling. Awhile back someone posted what I needed but I can;t find the post. Whoever you are I would be grateful that information. There are electronic supply houses here but I no longer drive Denver traffic. I just want to order on line.
  10. Very nice. What is the wood?
  11. I really like fun patterns. Those are great. Thanks for sharing.
  12. I'm a teetotaler but I still like it. Good cutting.
  13. I love puzzles. Yours is very nice. Good work.
  14. WOW Ray. That is an impressive system.
  15. Waiting is the hardest part. I'm kinda anxious for you.
  16. The only other saw I had was a Ryobi. For a while had three Hawks now I have only two. I convinced a friend that he really needed a saw and took the 14" off my hands. I'm sold on the hawk. I can repair everything myself. I'll keep both saws. I do think if I were to find an old Hegner cheap I will be tempted to purchase it.
  17. I don't think there are inserts that small. A coarse thread works fine in aluminum. octoolguy reacted to a post in a topic Hawk Lower Blade Clamp 11 hours ago
  18. The only reason I would make my own clamps is I've been a hobby machinist for a lot of years and have lots of material, aluminum and leaded steel. I don't like the fine thread in aluminum. Also, not wanting to denigrate Bushton Hawk, they are difficult to order from. Seems nothing is in stock. I had ordered several parts a long time ago. After waiting a month or so and not receiving them I ordered again. I received the parts and then a few weeks later the original order showed up. I never bothered sending the one order back; too much of a hassle. I ordered the articulated blower nozzle kit about a week and a half ago and have not received it yet. I checked on the order status last evening and was informed the the order is waiting fulfillment. This tells me they do not stock much inventory. Love the Hawks but it tells me they are not quick in taking care of customers. Your experience may vary.
  19. The bottom clamp on the Hawk 220VS Ultra has a hole big enough to pass a hacksaw blade. Is there a reason for this? Scrolling blades are small. Just wondering. I'm going to make a couple of holders and wondered about the big hole. Also the thumb screw is fine thread. Soft materials like aluminum need coarse threads. Fine threads are used on hard materials. The upper clamp is a coarse thread.
  20. I could probably rebuild any saw but only if time were available and money was not. On the other hand it's a cup of tea for some folks who love to do that. I used to love making things work. At my age that which was once a challenge and interesting is now work. Sigh, I'm tired. I just want it to work.
  21. Hi Paul, I took your advice and ordered the tubes. Two day delivery. Amazing! I'm using PVC but the thought about the consequence of dropping them. So a new holder is in order. Talk about organization, here is the corner behind my shop. Not bragg'in...just say'en.
  22. Probably no big deal but this morning after breakfast and going to my car in the alley I discovered a small four drawer dresser. I grabbed the drawers. Taking them home I removed the hardware and now have a nice selection of solid wood boards. The reason this is a good score for me is it's 1/2". Don't know what kind of wood , probably pine. The sizes are convenient too.
  23. Looks Great!
  24. Nifty!
  25. Very impressive.
