  1. Kevin, you are such a versatile scroller. Always like to see your cutting. Liked seeing your shop. Wish everyone would show shop photos.
  2. That is FUNNY! Thanks for sharing.
  3. Hi Al, Lots of good advice from everyone. I agree an external thermostat would work. The heater is about seven feet off the floor. The heater has a little button thermostat below the heat coil. I read a review on this heater where the owner moved the thermostat another inch away from the heat coil which worked for him. I may try that or I may have my electrician friend wire in a remote thermostat.
  4. Wonderful looking shop. Nice and roomy. Space, everyone needs space.
  5. Good looking work table. Lots of room for your feet.
  6. I did a little cutting for a couple of hour after a late breakfast. I used the shelf paper for the first time. Wonderful stuff. I like it much better than painters tape. The tack is strong enough to hold and removal is a snap. I bought Duck shelf paper from Wally World. I'm using a poor man's fuzzy removal remover that works fairly well. I don't scroll enough to justify the expensive flap type sanders. I run it at about 1400 rpm. Should have had this system in Florida to remove chad from election ballots. But that's another story...
  7. Awhile ago I posted about heating my shop. I bought a Dimplex 220 volt heater from Amazon. I have had very little time to spend there. But the time I have spent there gave me the opportunity to use the heater like today. I turned the heater on. It was 42 degrees in the shop. I ran a few errands and coming home the shop was 60 degrees but the red light came on. I lowered the thermostat until the red light went off. Then it started recycling as it should. However, the heater never raised the temperature more than 62. My shop 112 sqf and well insulated. I had installed the heater a number of weeks ago and it did the same as above. I thought the heater was defective and returned it and reordered the same heater. This second heater is not doing the job well. In a shop the size of mine it should sweat me out. I have a milk house heater that is 110 volts but I can't have something on the floor to stumble over. I may just purchase a larger heater. Sixty degrees is comfortable enough with a heavy shirt but I like working in a T-shirt. Some of you had asked how it worked out so this is my review. The pro's are light weight, fairly quiet and inexpensive. It shuts down when fully turned down. I can live with it but...
  8. JT, you make some great looking clocks.
  9. You don't scroll like a newbie. Your work looks great.
  10. A video of how you do this wonderful creation would be great. I know that would be a lot of work. But still...
  11. Your cutting is great and always has an artistic flair!
  12. Thanks, that makes sense.
  13. What is s Flatmaster?

  16. Prayers going up. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16
  17. WOW! You are a prolific scroller. Those are great. Reminds me of my youth. Firs week in June I and two friends would travel to Cranberry Portage, Sask. I remember seeing the Moose swimming in the lake. Tried to fish all the daylight hours but it stayed light too long. Thank you for sharing.
  18. No not yet. Should come this week. I'm anxious.
  19. At least you got to use it. Good for you!
  20. Posted the other day how Hawk was a little slow in shipping. Don't mean to denigrate them so time to say something good. Just received the articulated or whatever it is called blower I ordered. Very pleased. Go HAWK!
  21. I don't follow NASCAR but three years ago my son-in-law drove the semi tractor for Furniture Row for the season. My grandson has the hood from one of the cars mounted n the wall of his garage. My son-in-law said it was a lot of fun but it's a young man's job. It was a lot of work. One season was enough.
  22. Soft start is a safety thing. I ran my Bridgeport mill off a VFD and I could adjust the delay. Also my large printing machinery I had used a slow start. It's a good thing.
  23. It's not worth the effort to mess with heli coils. A coarse thread serves the same purpose.
  24. This game is making me bite my finger nails. Go Eagles! Nice logo.
