  1. Thank you for the suggestion. I have often been in St. Francis while visiting the antique tractor event in Bird City. I always spent the nights in a motel in St. Francis. Have not done so for several years. Always made the trip by Motorcycle. May have to do it again while a have a modicum of health left.
  2. A very clever dresser! Really nice work. Your scrolling looks impressive.
  3. Scrolling Steve has the right idea. For very little You could go to a hardware store and purchase a couple of metric nuts as well as a 1/4-28 just to identify the thread. Once you identify then you know what tap you need and perhaps even repair the offending nut to keep you going until you can make a proper one. I hope you can get out of this difficulty.
  4. Thanks for all the great responses.
  5. How big are the holes?
  6. This must require some very serious dust control.
  7. Having looked at some of the intarsia I can understand the cutting and various woods to make the project. What I wonder about is: Is part of the shaping carved, is all sanding done by hand, are mechanical sanders used? Looks very exacting. The projects are amazing. Don't think I would ever have the talent.
  8. Nice cutting and thank you for the pattern. I like Poplar because it is available at Lowes and Home Depot and is considerable cheaper than woods at Woodcraft. In addition the two big box stores are just a few minutes away versus Woodcraft which is 45 minutes to an hour away in traffic.

  14. In some of the puzzles I cut I discovered that sometimes I would push to the side of the blade inadvertently causing an angled cut.It resulted in the pieces releasing in on one direction and not in the other. When I was careful the cuts were perpendicular.
  15. I would also like to see where all this takes place.
  16. You have a very nice assortment/

  19. You can cut that in one day? That sounds like speedy cutting to me. WOW!
  20. That's funny!
  21. I love 'em too. Nice work for sure.
