  1. Perhaps crazy but very practical!
  2. Very nice work. One day I'll have the gumption to try making one.
  3. I have always had a fascination with rural scenes and more especially Aeromotor windmills. Windmills were the sentinels of the prairies. Without them early settlers and farmers could not exist. In the Dakotas, Nebraska, Kansas many old windmills are still standing. I love to see them. Including them in your piece really completed the scene!
  4. OK, I just measured. The threaded shaft is 9/16" long and the shaft uses a 5/16" drill. The backer was made using a method Chas. Deering demonstrated using a washer and tracing around the clock pattern. I can't describe it but someone here may have the verbal skills to adequately describe it. I could perhaps show a photo after the Stupi..er Super Bowl game.
  5. I'm sorry for this delay but I'll run out to the shop and measure.
  6. Go Chiefs! Actually I could care less.
  7. Wonderfully done! It looks great.
  8. You've done a wonderful job. You should be pleased!
  9. I think it's the wood and simplicity og the pattern that makes it so outstanding. Wonderful!
  10. Great idea!

    Howdy All!

Welcome to the Village Dana. Lots to do, see and learn here!
  12. I'm stacking three up so won't be too bad.
  13. Remarkably lifelike. Beautifully done!
  14. Pretty impressive! Who is Pedro?
  15. I have some rubber drums that are not inflatable. There is a threaded 1/4" shaft with a washer on each end and when tightened the rubber expands and expands inside the sanding sleeve. The sleeves are only 2" long and are used with a drill press or lathe. They are cheap.
  16. Great cutting of a gorgeous pattern!
  17. Very, very nice!
  18. I googled them and now I have the same question.
  19. Frank Pellow posted this clock a few days ago. Really caught my attention. It is a Sue May design. I'm making 11 of these for Christmas gifts. I'll be alternating the fronts and backs. White on black and black on white. I don't particularly like making duplicates but I'll stack these 3 up and cut from 3/16 luan plywood.
  20. That's great cutting on very nice patterns.
  21. Very innovative! Great looking products.
  22. That's different but very cool!
  23. I love the way you are able to put different elements together so artistically!
  24. Great looking names! What about longer names? Do you just make larger ovals?
  25. The tray looks great and I'm a cat person so I love the plaque!
