  11. I once tried "pickling" some wood. I'll have to look it up again, but in essence you paint the wood. It seemed to blend in to the wood; did not hide the wood grain.

  18. Nicely done. I did the same pattern last year and just sold it yesterday at a craft fair. Father bought it for his son, now a Marine. I especially love patterns that tell a story, and this pattern by "grampa" certainly accomplishes that. Kudos. Vin
