  1. I tried the blue painters tape on the wood and glue the pattern to the tape today and I must say I have never had a pattern come off so easy in my life. No more scraping patterns with my pocket knife no more getting hot fingers while trying to loosen the pattern with a hair dryer. I should have found this forum years ago.
  2. Sorry for your trOubles on the new saw Iggy. I have a 1996 26 inch Ultra I bought brand new that still runs as good as new. I had some trouble last year with breaking blades and blades slipping out of the upper blade holder. I discovered that the rear tension rod needed adjusted down a couple of turns. After I did the adjustment the saw is like new again. I assume after 21 years there was some wear some where. This saw has seen some hard use over the years. A lot of 3/4 oak plywood etc.
  3. My hawk is a 1996 226 ultra model and it doesn't have that hole in that spot.
  4. Welcome from Iowa
  5. Here's a few more I've done in the last year.
  6. Thanks for the welcome. I should of found this place years ago. Lots of info here.
  7. Just joined here. I'm from Iowa and have been using a scrollsaw for the past 20 years. I have a 26 inch RBI Hawk that I bought in 1996 new. Never had any trouble with it and have used it a lot. The pictures are some of the signs I have been making the last few years.
